And don´t forget other (read: better than TMP) albums like Accident, Tyranny and (for me) Skunkworks. Saying TMP is his magnum opus is like saying Senjutsu is Maidens magnum opus. And I love Senjutsu!

He works fast, lol. I doubt the recordings has started, Maiden rehearsals are coming up. And he's not in a hurry, as he said.

I have never got the dislike for TMP. It’s a solid enough album although it is a bit weird hearing at least 3(?) versions of Bruce on the album (2023, 2014 and 1998). I kinda wish he just re-recorded all the vocals. I think the album would have get more consistent.

Yeah, and TCW impact is too big. Btw, that would be more fitting for SJ if we have to compare, no doubt.

Idk if the vocals could have helped, it's not inconsistent for me. I like and enjoy the album a lot, but the unexpected change in style/approach and the fact that the album offers almost nothing in terms of guitar playing is the reason, methinks. In 2012 they had a plan for a 2nd guitarist. Since then they have written many songs/demos and I think Bruce just chose the ones (even Eternity, which is still very odd to me) he initially wanted to include, the album to be varied (which it is) and to fit the different type of metal he is doing now, as he said.
