Bruce Dickinson

I don't know if the big european festivals have the same "family vibe" as Rock in Rio does, and The Town is basically Rock in Rio in Sao Paulo. So he's probably playing his biggest hits for that kind of audience. I can personally remember how amazed this lady close to me was when the cathedral realm was revealed at Rock in Rio '19.

Not to mention that Bruce and Revelations has a deeper connection with Rock in Rio, when he cut his head in 1985... He might probably speak about it before introducing the song

Date added to the solo tour: Rocklahoma Festival 29-31 August
This is probably the first night of the tour. About 3 weeks after the Maiden tour, just like last year. If the US dates are dominant and he adds some European dates again, the tour could go on until November. Then 2 months off and either writing with Maiden or solo - or both!?
Bruce is going to play it in his sólo tour? No way
He played the songs he co-wrote in the 90s, so. Not that he need to now, but that doesn't rule it out, especially for such a big show, although after last year it would be kind of a surprise. More different solo songs, I'd like to think Bruce wants that.

I hope there will be some European dates, but I would have thought it would be a US tour.
Was that just your idea, or is there a hint from Bruce?
I can't recall any hints for the dates right now. NA/SA is the plan, but he said in one interview that the number of dates will be like last year so around 50 dates, 4 months. The festival European dates are usually in the summer, but 3 months (at least) is probably certain (December shows? Australia/Japan?) and he can cover NA/SA in one and a half I guess.

Why not? he's the author of the song. He played Powerslave, The Prisoner in 1998 so…anyway I think it's about a new beer

Isn't that new beer limited to the Swedish market?? It is brewed by a small brewery...

Bruce might be the ultimate beer salesman, but I doubt he will be plugging a Swedish beer in a promotional ad for a Brazilian festival. ;)

Festivals are convenient. You don't have to worry about filling a venue. You have the chance to win over potential new fans in the audience. Thanks to festival season you can do a bunch of them with minimal risk (relatively, compared to organizing a solo tour on your own).

I hope for Shadow of the Gods and Fingers in the Wounds.
IIRC, Shadow is Naslund's favorite song from the new album, and he seems to ask the fans what they want to hear. In an interview before the tour last year, he said he likes the new album because it has different styles (played in bands with different styles?) and ofc cited Bruce's classic albums as his favorites. From Maiden, his favorites are the epics (Revelations is his favorite Maiden song!) and TNOTB, Powerslave and BNW albums. Favorite bands? Metallica and Maiden, iirc. I'm curious for him to write with Bruce, he's also a producer. The solo band has such a chemistry, I'm interesting to hear what they can come up with in the studio. In Wikipedia, Roy is listed as a former member (''a falling out''). It's not certain ofc, but I just looked it up.

Do you think he will mainly play festivals because then it doesn't matter whether he can fill a venue or not?
Didn't he say he wants to play bigger venues the next time. I think it'll be a nice mix of everything as always, especially a US tour. Festivals are a must for exposure. Not because of filling or not, it's Bruce, although this is a new band. They are gaining popularity now. European festivals?
