! This is probably the least expected gig to see Bruce. But did he actually sang, even the chorus? If we're to judge by his latest lead solo single outro, he's not against such vocals, ha.
It's like they were planning how they would arrange it when he stepped on stage. It didn't bring anything to the song and you can't even hear Bruce. I don't know what to make of it to be honest.

I thought Phil Anselmo was cancelled?
I read that the band was even disinvited from Rock am Ring because other bands (I think including the headliner) complained.

If it was today (or maybe right before being a far right nationalist could get you into office), there would probably be a steeper hill to climb if you did what Phil did onstage. It was 9 years ago and he made a public apology which seem to have worked out. If there would be any hesitation on where he stands, I don't think someone like Tom Morello would agree to be the director of the upcoming Sabbath gig, where Pantera has been invited as guests. This is just my analysis of the situation. Some people on Reddit are criticizing Bruce for now being associated with that. I think that is maybe taking things a little too far.

Bruce did a falsetto scream (see the full video). That was the only audible contribution.

Yes, I know what you mean, such discussions are often totally overblown. But on the other hand, I don't know why it was necessary.
Bruce got himself into this whole controversy for no reason.

When Bruce told to his wife: I'm going out for a walk. She didn't know he meant this
and when Bruce get out to the stage he didn't know he will do that. Waiting for the right moment (that it was when he left) to sing something

73% of third marriages end in divorce (according to the U.S. Census Bureau) and 93 percent of fourth marriages.

So? Bruce has obviously been trying to get cancelled for years now.
So that's why he chose Pantera of all bands. Now I understand. :D

There was even second controversy here, whether it wouldn't be an inappropriate money-making scheme to have Pantera go on tour without Vinnie Paul Abbott and Dimebag Abbott, instead with Phil Anselmo, with whom Vinnie was deeply at odds until his passing.

I've always called it a Pantera cover band, because it is. It's a little sad to see Anselmo's pet project probably making a decent sum out on tour when the actual heart and soul of the band have both died.

If you're a public figure and you know you might be recognized at an event, you usually check if there's anything you could get yourself into with that or have management check, so I'm puzzled by this whole thing.
