Dickinson has a writing credit on Out of the silent planet, and has often spoke of Monster Magnet in high regard, as a band he listened to at the time of the interviews (AOB/TCW era). The instrumental section of OOTSP starts with a cloned riff from their song Powertrip.

Good find! Still odd that Bruce would have picked the part he doesn't do anything over. There are two other music contributors as well (Gers & Harris).
 
Maybe he played it to some of the guys, who knows, maybe a coincidence.
