I totally agree (and it doesn't matter if it has a brand new song as a bonus or live songs). 2 singles at most is normal, although I would like only one.If Bruce will follow modern release schedules (and I hope he doesn't) there might be even more singles, like one per month or something. Probably without videos, or maybe one "traditional" video and a couple of lyric videos or something.
That's something that is done to try and work the Spotify algorithms. Common "wisdom" is to release singles often and steadily, which can lead to some albums having had half of their songs released before the entire thing drops. I'm an album guy, so it's rather disappointing when bands do that: You finally get the new album, but are familiar with half of it already. Thankfully it is not as prevalent in metal (yet). I hope Bruce doesn't go for that. I obviously wanna hear the material as soon as possible and March 1 is still a while away, but I'd rather be patient and get the proper album experience, than this single-driven release schedule many artists go for.
Janick hates alternate tunings or any different tunings on his guitar, iirc.As much as I like Janick, I think he is a horrible fit for playing in low alternate tunings.
No, Janick loves alternate tunings and has stated that he keeps guitars in them around the house.I totally agree. 2 singles at most is normal, although I would like only one.
I'm really curious about the music video for the first single, Bruce promised something really interesting, although most of his music videos are odd. I would like an old school metal video like the one for Road To Hell again.

So maybe that's the reason why, Adrian is busy working on the next album with Kotzen. Didn't someone say that Adrian won't be busy next year, or I remembered wrong? Maiden's tour will start in the fall, so they have plenty of time to record the album and even do a short club tour next year.Richie Kotzen said somewhere they had enough stuff for another Smith/Kotzen album. Maybe Janick is more likely if Adrian is tied up working on that?
Is it confirmed that there is no more dates to be announced?
Theres a gap between Oslo 9th June and Germany 16th June. Was hoping that there would be a swedish date outside Sweden Rock Festival

Or is it just what Bruce said in one interview from 2022 (I think it was) that Adrian likes the hard rock stuff more than his dark and heavy material. I think no one doubted that, despite some of his solo projects.
On a related note, I've always wondered why Adrian and Bruce wrote so few songs for his 2 solo albums. 6 songs in total, 4 in the albums.
For Accident of birth, Adrian came in a little later in the process than Roy Z. He was supposed to do a couple of guest solos, but ended but playing on the record. Adrian had also spent time writing and recording the second Psycho motel album, and had probably used most of his ideas there. On a related note, I've always wondered why Adrian and Bruce wrote so few songs for his 2 solo albums. 6 songs in total, 4 in the albums.
I think Bruce will also tour in 2025, he has quite a rich solo catalogue to present live and hasn't toured in years. He could end up playing the whole new album live, who knows. BTP and TCW tours were 2 years, his other solo tours were only 1 year.Hoping for some US dates in 2025 within striking distance
I suspected this for AOB. Not that I disagree, but Adrian a side kick for Bruce's band? He was important for the band and its sound. For Accident of birth, Adrian came in a little later in the process than Roy Z. Don’t know why he didn’t write more for The chemical wedding. Could be as simple as Bruce and Roy were in such a good writing mode so Adrian’s ideas was not necessary. He was a side kick for Bruce after all, not the main songwriter.
True, but I also think he's giving his replaced hip a rest, lolAnd I mean, he still enjoys playing live a lot. See the photo below, he rarely sits down during a show to capture the moment.
Should´ve been 15 quid.Managed to get tickets for the Manchester gig, 46 quid all told. Should be a good night.
Please share links!I love the idea but hey - I have full shelf of of pulp horror books about killer shrimps etc.
He was an important part of the band of course, just more a role like in Maiden (Write a few songs, record album and tour it), not being the main man like in ASaP (main songwriter and vocalist) and Psycho motel (main songwriter and producer of the first album)I suspected this for AOB. Over £40 is a bit steep honestly. I was expecting closer to £30ish.
Might be all through it, who knows. This is so different from his early 90's vocals. He won't sing (have such voice effects) like that on the album. I'm sure it will be only for this song, probably a small part of it like an outro..
