To me it sounded as if Roy Z is disappointed that nothing is happening. So: the contrary: NO album coming up.

The statement is ambiguous, they could be demos, they could be completely finished, they might not even be demoed!

I think that if Roy is mouthing off then it's more likely they are recorded. For Tyranny of Souls Bruce showed up for 2 weeks. They don't need him to record the music. Any delay is not down to Bruce not having time to work, it's down to not having a suitable break from Maiden to release it.
 
Didn't we already have confirmation drums have been recorded? I mean, I guess they could've just got the drummer to do demos, but that seems a bit above the usual amount of care Bruce puts in his demos.
