BEST BAND EVER: Results!

But they aren't really vocals. They aren't singing.

This is nonsense. Vocals have a very clear definition and it is irrelevant whether you like or dislike a particular vocal style. Growls are vocals.

Let's let the invisible hand of Maidenfans decide.

This is both argumentum ad populum and a fallacy of relevance. The votes in this game are based on taste, they do not constitute an opinion as to what vocals or singing are.

I'm chuffed that Doogie got so many. I was expecting a Barlow landslide. In ordinary circumstances I'd vote Barlow too, but I really think Doogie is under-recognised.

Eliminated after Round 72:
Doogie White
Nergal
Travis Ryan

Promoted after Round 72:
Matt Barlow

David Byron (URIAH HEEP)

John Bush (ANTHRAX, ARMORED SAINT)

Phil Lynott (THIN LIZZY)

Urban Breed (BLOODBOUND, TAD MOROSE, TRAIL OF MURDER)

I'm not all that familiar with any of the vocalists here. Based on the songs posted, I'm gonna have to go with John Bush in a tight one. Well, I would anyway if the poll was open..

The last two groups have really been disappointing, considering the people that got eliminated in the round that preceded them.

This is a tough round. I like all four of them.

Before listening I was going to pick Byron but I really liked Breed's performance in that song so I chose him.

Lynott fits the sound of Thin Lizzy, Bush has a nice powerful voice, and Breed I’d never heard of before, but that song showcased some good vocals (and a lot of Maiden inspiration). Still, I’m going with the King Diamond vote and giving it to Byron. I love his lush and rich voice. He can’t belt down the walls, nor are his highs that great, but he makes up for it with having a really really nice texture when singing at his main level. He’s like an Ian Gillan who can’t hit all of Gillan’s notes, but instead focuses on making his lower range stand out.

I like Bush's vocals a lot, but I have met Urban Breed in real life and talked to him.
Hmm... tough one. I'll go with Urban Breed.
