Superunknown is the best album of the new group. Other than Counterparts, nothing else is remotely close. :goodbye:

Superunknown deserves to go far. Fell On Black Days, Mailman, Spoonman, Head Down, Black Hole Sun, The Day I Tried To Live, 4th of July...But I am afraid people here don't think it is classic metal enough...

I was considering to kill it but then I saw that a few mighty people liked it and decided against, in the end. Now I should listen to it.

I don't think people care about albums being classic metal or not. There are many prog rock albums going through, for example.

Balls to Picasso sucks. I realize it's Bruce, but...really? Chemical Wedding, I agree should go through. AoB, I also understand. Tyranny of Souls ("Kill Devil Hill" is a classic), why not. Hell, even Tattooed Millionaire is noteworthy. But Balls to Picasso is affirmatively bad. "Tears of the Dragon" is an overrated track, and the rest of the album is really weak. I realize this is a Maiden forum, but Balls to Picasso was -- deliberately -- about as anti-Maiden as you can get. Come on, people. Bruce will get PLENTY of love in this game -- but this ain't the album that deserves it.

Doesn't matter, people will find a way to defend that album as a "great underrated album" because it is Bruce ::) And I actually like most of the songs on Balls to Picasso but it is not in the same league as most of the other albums on the list.

Seriously. Balls to Picasso should be out soon. I love Tears of the Dragon, Change of Heart and Cyclops but come on.

Balls is a decent album in a weak group. But it is nowhere near best album status.

But it is nowhere near best album status.
I am reading this comment often lately. My answer to that is: We are nowhere near that phase at the moment.
Right now it's also interesting to see how albums are "behaving" against each other in these earlier rounds.

People like a sport competition, not just for the NBA final, the Super Cup or whatever end match there is.
The stuff that comes before that is entertainment for most of us as well.

Alright, time to finally address this. I have seen it happening almost every round and now I am going to answer.

Bullshit. I (at least) often try to defend an album (both Bruce and not Bruce) because of various ingredients. If some of you don't care for that fine, but cut the crap with these cynical comments.

To you and cornfed especially:
This is not a classic-album-should-win-contest. People vote for (and sometimes explain) why they think something is good. And these reasons are not always based on American (s)hitlists. Get it?

And part of that entertainment is dissing the teams you don't think belong. ;-)

edit: Nevermind.

I got too grumpy in this post so I removed it. In the next round I will carefully decide which album besides Balls I like best (my 2nd favourite won't survive).

Keep it civil, Foro.

As I've said in a previous round, whilst the game is to determine the "best" album, the method of doing so is to vote for least favourites.

Doesn't matter if Balls' is no where near the "best" in this list, if people like it then it won't get voted for. Simple as that. Personally I enjoy that album more than a lot of the ones up there, hence, not voted for it.
