2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia (Maidenfans WC Pool inside)

I'm the only who predicts that it's coming home, and lots of you who predicted Brazil might be in the gutter if they lose vs. Belgium.

France has a bad record vs Uruguay: 8 matches, only 1 victory (in 1985). They met three times at the World Cup. Uruguay won once (in 1966), and two draws (2002 and 2010).

Uruguay has only one goal against them this tournament (Pepe).
 
Belgium - Brazil trivia:

- Brazil lost its last four knockout matches against European opponents! In 2010 the Netherlands was too strong (2-1) and in 2014 with 3-0.
- In the knock-out phase Belgium played three times against a South American country and and did not score once!
- The first of their four duels (1963) gave Belgium their only victory. At the 2002 World Cup, they met for the last time. Brazil won.

Uruguay will certainly be much tougher for France to break down than Argentina were and if the France that we saw in the group stages turns up then I give Uruguay a much greater chance of winning. Uruguay's main problem today could be the lack of Edinson Cavani, and if Luis Suarez has to play up front by himself he might get stressed out and bite someone again. Fingers crossed.

and likes to drink the South American favorite, bittersweet and stimulating drink 'mate'. Not without a reason the Frenchman sees Uruguay as his 'second' country.
 
Apparently FIFA only want the quarter-finalists to be involved in the anti-racism campaign. Good that Suarez is involved though. This of thing will probably fall on deaf ears in Russia.
