I say this every four years: Mexico are a good football team but they have no cutting edge. The final ball is often poor and they need a better striker to ever reach the quarter finals. This is the seventh consecutive World Cup they've been eliminated in the second round. That capitulation to Sweden did for them as they'd have probably had a better chance against Switzerland.

Btw all stats are firmly on Cro side apart from jumps being 48% (aerial duels), 20 to 14 shots, 6 to 3 on target, 54% possession, 80% vs 78% pass accuracy, 14 to 11 dribbles, 15 to 10 tackles. It was a difficult match of teams that perform in the same bracket, just play different styles, we (in Croatia) all knew Danes will be tough and they have real chances of knocking us out, maybe not 50/50 but 55/45. I'm sorry but the maximal individual quality combined is firmly on our side and we had some very important players under performing yesterday, while those who performed on the level (Rebic) you had no answer to. That was the field situation and that was the hypothetical attacker your team lacks because it simply does.
 
Mexico wasted too much stamina on the first 30 minutes of the match, and Brazilian defensive sector was flawless and absolute all the game long.

Next game against (probably) Belgium are going to be very, very tough. Lukaku must to be completely
interrupted if Brazil wants to pass to the semis.

If Belgium play even adequately well this evening then I can see them winning 3-0 or 4-0. I wonder if Croatia's sluggish performance has been a wake up call for Belgium and England who, like Croatia, rested many players for the final group game. I wonder if that affected Croatia yesterday.

You're overreacting. The guy said he wants Croatia to beat Russia. Not sure how you got the impression that he has a problem with Croats. "-ic name" is an accurate way to refer to Croatian players outside of Lovren, Vida and Vrsaljko.

He also said the exact same thing as you did, that Croatian players underperformed and that they need to be better.
 
They are playing great football up until there's a chance to score. The match seems a little flat though. Belgium dominating but not close to their best. Japan are so inferior.
 
Japan have been good at denying the Belgians time and space around the Japanese goal, but can they keep that energy level until the final whistle?
