These are SO recognisable! Brilliant \m/ \m/

    Steve Harris

I totally agree. That said, I did enjoy seeing them and was pleasantly surprised, to the extent I checked out the 2nd album afterwards and really liked it.

    Steve Harris

Exactly. Even the support act, Tony Moore (ex Maiden one-time keyboardist), is an old time acquaintance :)

Some footage from seeing British Lion this week in South Wales. A great night!

    Paul Di'Anno

I see 400 was mentioned. I would have guessed around 200 tbh, but that is literally just guessing from going there.

    Paul Di'Anno

Well he sold out The Patriot, Crumlin, Wales, in just 4 hours so I missed the opportunity to see him. Saw Blaze there a few weeks back and he was amazing. Wasn't expecting as good from Paul, but now I will never know! Good luck to him though :)

    Blaze Bayley

Godspeed to Blaze. Saw him a couple of weeks ago at The Patriot in Crumlin. Blaze was on excellent form, as were Absolva Best wishes Blaze! \m/

    Who here saw Maiden first?

1984 for me on the World Slavery Tour in Cardiff.

World Slavery Tour question (stage set up)

Saw this tour back in 1984 in Cardiff (Wales, UK) and they did not use the big golden Eddie. During Iron Maiden the walk on mummy Eddie came on instead. I was gobsmacked when I finally saw the big Golden Eddie on the Live After Death video the following year.

Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

Good point. Not sure, although I got the feeling from this interview that Steve is very particular about what he wants, with lots of adjustments being made until the picture is considered finished.

Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

New interview with Mark Wilkinson - talks about artworks for Maiden, Marillion, Priest, and others - quite interesting!

What is the Rarest Song you've seen Iron Maiden perform live?

I suppose Losfer Words is the rarest I've seen, in 1984 in Cardiff

Maiden - Legacy of the Beast game Eddies

Without a doubt. Although the new album art looks inspired by the current Samurai Eddie from the game, as you mentioned.

Iron Maiden - artworks with Eddie

I have always thought that the Legacy of the Beast game version of The Final Frontier Eddie makes him look like has a weird shaped knob between his legs lol

    The essential bootlegs?

Not sure to be honest, but I would not be surprised if The Friday Rock show played it at some point. Either way, there are some great gigs from various bands through the years on that site ;)

    The essential bootlegs?

Try looking here for the show you are after (I have not checked if it is there though!) https://fridayrockshow.fandom.com/wiki/1992#August This is a great site for all the various BBC Friday Rockshow downloads throughout the years that people have shared ;)

Maiden Headphones Black Friday deal in the UK

Yeah the same on mine. the yellow foam is completely showing on both ear pieces after a year or so! I was really shocked. I have cheap Sensheiser £30 headphones that are still fine after 10 years. Again, glad I only paid £50 for the Edphones. They do sound nice though.

GREATEST METAL ALBUM CUP - Winner: Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son!

Not true for me. This is the first time I took a look at this thread and did not know Maiden have not been it before ;)

GREATEST METAL ALBUM CUP - Winner: Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son!

Ok, for me Piece of Mind over AMOLAD Maybe nostalgia (i bought POM the day of release), but I prefer the younger energy and love the deeper tracks too (tracks played less live) AMOLAD is a great album, but harder to listen to in one sitting (for me) than POM (yes, I know POM is shorter) Priest...
