    Powerslave: Album Discussion

Funny, I don't hear tiredness in Killers at all  SIT has that smooth and reverb-y guitar sound that has much less punch than previous ones, that's probably the reason the album sounds more tame to me. Although Nicko is totally ferocious in some tracks No, I love your reviews, what does it...

    Powerslave: Album Discussion

I've always felt that on Powerslave they managed to re-capture the same level of energy as early albums (after the drop of TNOTB and POM), and never again. Of course, with much higher level of sophistication and versatility

Which one of the Di'Anno albums do you like the best?

Killers. I even dare say that Paul performed all those songs better than Bruce (they just fit to his voice better), and the debut not so much. So in a way Killers is a quintessential Paul album

SSOASS: individual album judgement by yours truly

OK, but all the "boring" elements are present: long drawn out synth heavy intro, tun turutun turutun turutun turu (ad libitum), chorus = title of the song repeated x times (OK, it's less times total in CSiT) For the record, I love both songs and voted 10/10 for both, but your objections for...

IRON MAIDEN REFERENDUM 2020: Results -> Hallowed Be Thy Name wins for the 5th time!

Alex is like the weakest song on SiT Never understood what's so great about it Stranger is better, but the other 3 are definitely the best. CSIT rocks :shred:

    Bruce Dickinson

It's actually pretty hard to evaluate if someone's in tune when there's no music, especially Bruce For instance, this intro sounds pretty out of tune to me (except the odd high notes), but actually that's just the way he sings it

    Metallica

Btw I've been to yesterday's S&M2 movie theater event. I was really impressed, they played great, James was especially fantastic. I really enjoyed more recent songs that I've not listened to that much, in totally different arrangements. All in all, :notworthy:

    Purgatory

You will find many cases of "one guy's favourite song is another guy's least favourite" on this forum, but everyone's trying to be real civil about it, so it works out As for me, i LOVE Purgatory, it's ferocious and unrelenting from beginning to end, just a small capsule of concentrated energy...
