RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

According to this, the fault might have been with the venue itself and not the heatwave. If the venue has fucked up then that's a case for major compensation towards Maiden.

F**k me. Force majeure is one thing, but if it turns out to be the venue management's fault, the frustration must be enormous. Hmm... yesterday I joked in one post that I was betting on some c***s finding a way to mess up the show. Looks like I was seeing into the future.

Just wait: during one of the upcoming shows, Bruce is bound to have a rant about those La Défense Arena c***s.
Bloody hell.

This also could be a case of the city passing the buck onto the venue. There were other reported outages in Paris last night likely due to the grid being overwhelmed. I suspect a lengthy investigation is on the cards.

Staff told us that the power was out in the whole neighbourhood. I went outside during the break and could only see emergency lighting in the surrounding office buildings/bars although you can't see too far from the front of the arena.

I reckon they will use the Paris show and just add the encores from elsewhere. Probably all it Lights Out Over Paris as a nod to Percys beloved UFO.

Lights out
We live in a world Of darkness
No doubt
Everything's up for sale
We sleep
All of the world is burning
We pray to god for a better deal

This song should've been added to Paris show

To be honest, I don’t think it’s a big deal if they release it without 2MtM and the encore. It’ll still hold up as a full experience. If they’re stubborn about including every single song, I think the best idea would be to move 2MtM to the encore for one night in the future and record the remaining 4 songs. Or make those songs audio exclusive and pick from any gig. It would be a shame if the whole project went to trash over a few songs we’ve seen on various DVDs countless times.

The incitent would also make an interesting bonus featurette if they managed to capture any of the behind the scenes ;)
But knowing how the show went makes it a strange thing then. I mean, they were probably pissed and (understandably) stressed and whatever, so I don't know if a pieced together live recording pre- and post incident (incl. all the negativity it caused to them for the second half) is a good idea. The whole thing did something to each of them personally, mentally - and if there is not an ultimative NEED to release it, I'm sure they wouldn't do it but pick another night instead. (We all know Steve is a bit of an unflexible bloke at times, however, in this case it shouldn't be an impossibility to switch to some alternate plan.)

They will use this show for sure, they took special photo at the end. Actually, it will be easy to edit too:
-Up until 2mtm use 2026 show
-Powerslave ends in black out anyway, so editing could be done easily with 2mtm and rotam (both as they lead one into another and because what Bruce said before ROTAM)
-From rtth until encores use 2026 show
-For encores use 2025 show

They don't even have to use Paris 2025 show, they can just label it as "Live from RFYL tour". They'll use it only if they care about consistency of Bruce yelling "Scream for me Paris" and not to be interupted with "Scream for me Not-Paris".

First gig without Fear of the Dark since 21 years!
Every cloud has a silver lining.
Why don't they just do it in other city.
yeah, makes absolutely no difference where it’s recorded since every night the setlist is identical, Bruce’s raps are identical except for the name of the city etc. After the first week of a tour the show is anything but spontaneous. Except when the power goes off.

Logistics? The whole preparation. And if they record a show later in the tour (indoors or in a stadium not in daylight), the performance might be a bit more tired. The best is probably to use footage from the Paris 2025 shows (audio is more important, not a different footage like in the past), without the 2mtm guitar and Simon plays the song better now.

Well said. I watched some videos of Rime and Trooper and while Bruce is in great form and those songs are tough, he didn't sound as ''enthusiastic'' as he did during Murders, Number (now deleted). The interruption was probably the worst for him, the vocalist, he was warmed up.

This should be a good sign, right.

I think the move for them would be to use the main set from Paris, bin 2MTM and record the encores elsewhere. Audio quality should be the same as they always use the same software to record shows.

At least now they can pick the most passable Aces High from the tour.

Yeah, I think a promoter or something jumped the gun - there was a statement on the FC forum. Regardless the organisers have decided to honour the tickets which is a classy move.
That said, if anyone got them on this offer, I’d make some follow up enquiries as I got mine on ShowFilmFirst and the Knebworth WhatsApp is suggesting that these may not be honoured as they are only accepting tickets sold via Ticketmaster, Gigantic, See Tickets and AXS. Waiting to hear back on more info currently. Might be that it just doesn’t have the info, but I’d make sure before getting to the gate in case of disappointment.

Tell me why there had to be a power outage
I'm gonna cry I'm a fan why can't the show go on
When the stage lights go out
All around is sadness
And with no phones allowed we are slaves to the darkness in black
Slaves to the darkness in black
Slaves
To the darkness in
Blaaaaaaaack
