Adrian, Janick and Dave's guitars and Steve's basses

Not really as Jackson was at that point likely the only company that was doing custom necks per measure (Adrian's is tailored after his 1957 Strat, but likely a flatter radius)m while ESP was a parts company. That's why the neck was likely swapped from a matching headstock one to a natural one after SIT sessions. Because he was waiting for the custom made one.

The neck on Dave's red Jackson is probably tailored after the Kossoff Strat.
Yes, I think that the neck of Dave’s red Jackson is probably tailored after his Kossoff strat, I also think that the pickups in both Jacksons are DiMarzios (PAF and super distortion respectively, as well as the Kossoff strat) but I don’t know. I think that the white Jackson has/had a black PAF pro in neck position.

That's likely correct. The first time he had Duncans it was in the blue and 3-tone sunburst Fender Strats that became the Raising Hell cream ones (at the point of Raising Hell, the main one's pickups were changed with zebra DiMarzios).

On a slightly related note - I've heard lots of mention of this 1957 Strat of Adrian's but never seen a photo or read anything sort of 'official' about it. Do you know anywhere I could find this info?
There is a photo gallery from one of The Untouchables' gigs, where he plays the main HSH Jackson, a backup single humbucker Jackson that became the guitar from Man Of Sorrows video and the 1957 sunburst Strat.

I can't find it at the moment.

Yup, we discussed about that guitars a few pages ago, AFAIK the 3-tone sunburst got a reversed zebra DiMarzio in neck position after it was painted and then it got a normal one, by the way: Do you know what happened with this 2 guitars? AFAIK the zebra one was last seen in 1999 and the other one got a white pickguard with hot rails during TXF but never seen after that.

Yeah, something like that. And the midle pickup cover got painted with a sharpie.

I assume the zebra pickup Strat was still a backup during BNW tour but never used, as I seriously doubt that Dave would tour with only 2 guitars. It would be very interesting to see Dave's guitar boat from BNW tour.

Thanks for the reply, it would be nice to find a photo of Dave’s boat from BNW, obviously it is impossible, but, who knows…

I remember a picture of Adrian with a white SG from that era, was that his guitar? Probably. For studio use only.

edit: found it

I've never seen this picture (I think). What's Adrian's guitar? Just for the picture like in the second one?

I think that Adrian is using the guitar from the second photo in this video, the pickguard looks like a mirror pickguard, I don’t know about the guitar from the first photo, but if I had to bet I’d say that the one from the first photo was loaned and the other one was probably owned by H but never used onstage.

I also think the second one (if it's the same) is probably owned by Adrian, considering the others guitars (*not sure only about Janick's because of the color) and drum kit in the clip. The first one, didn't Dave had such in the early 80's?

Does anyone know what were the guitar techs of the 3 amigos over the years? I’m looking for some photos of the Maiden’s guitar boats, I don’t know if I can find some information through the guitar techs, maybe I can.

AFAIK in the 80’s Bill Barclay was Dave’s tech and Peter Kirkman was Adrian’s (at least early 80s, Idk if he was the tech in late 80s too) Kevin (Batty) Walsh was Janick’s in the 90’s (I don’t know about Dave’s tech in the 90’s) I know that the current techs are Sean Brady (H), Eddie Marsh (Jan) and Colin Price (Davey) but I have doubt about Dave’s tech for the 90s/early 2000s and Jan’s/Adrian’s techs from early 2000s.

Dave’s and Janick’s techs from 2003 are in the Life on the Road documentary from Death on the Road. They are also in the main documentary but I don’t think they are named with captions (I just checked on YouTube). I can’t remember their names off the top of my head. Sean was there as well. The documentary is not on YouTube and I can’t be bothered to get my DVD out.

@matic22 will know!

AFAIK Colin came on board for SBIT tour. Davey's tech before (the one in DOTR, name escapes me at the minute) that was on board from 1999-2007 if I remember correctly. Colin is also the first tech that does Dave's effects switching. Before it was 100% Dave.
Sean Brady has been with H since GMETID, possibly longer. Maybe since Bruce solo days.
Janick has changed many techs in the last 20 years, but seems to have settled on Eddie in the last 10 years. During TFF era his tech was Justin Garrick (who works for Ronnie Wood sometimes).
