I was waiting for the first Painkiller solo last night, I'm always amazed by that one on record. Glen managed it, but it wasn't fluid. He was the weakest link last night. But I don't think Priest could carry on without him. They're all about the twin guitars, and once KK and Glen aren't there...

Great Priest gig last night. My first time. Couldn't believe how good Rob Halford still is live at, what, 64? His vocal range is astonishing. Glen T looked a bit of a sorry state in his leather trousers though, might be time to trade them in for something a little looser...

Forgot to mention, I caught a Frankie Bello pick too, one of my bass-playing heroes as a kid. First pick I've caught in 27 years of gigs! Never give up.

Great gig with Slayer at Brixton last night. Worked the crowd as always, a lot of Anthrax shirts out there, big pit. New guitarist has settled in really well now, whipping his hair all over the place and prowling the stage. Joey was on great form, absolutely NOT too-cool-for-school.

Got my Priest ticket for Tuesday, to follow Slayer on Monday. Going to take a sleeping bag and laptop and ask Brixton Academy if I can sleep over Monday night and work from there on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

It'll be first time for Priest for me too. The setlist does look too good to miss...

Got Anthrax and Slayer this coming Monday night at Brixton Academy, and now I'm getting more and more tempted to see Judas Priest at the same place the next night. Sort of like a two-night mini festival with a day at work in between. Not sure I can handle it at my age though...
