2014 Tour Rumours

The more I think about a 90s tour the more excited I get actually since I grew up with Maiden during those years. Would love to see what they could do with the themes and the stage design and all of that!

As long as they come anywhere within a 300-350 mile radius of St. Louis, MO, I'll be good to go for seeing them. I don't see why they would eliminate the US completely; they have to understand that there are Iron Maiden fans that exist here that want to see those songs too.

Anyways, here's my take on a nice 1990's setlist.
1. Be Quick Or Be Dead
2. From Here To Eternity
3. Wrathchild
4. Wasting Love
5. Futureal
6. Die With Your Boots On
7. Afraid To Shoot Strangers
8. Sign of the Cross
9. Heaven Can Wait
10. The Number of the Beast
11. Lord of the Flies
12. The Clansman
13. Sanctuary
14. Fear of the Dark
15. Iron Maiden
ENCORE
16. Tailgunner
17. The Evil That Men Do
18. Hallowed Be Thy Name

Has a nice mixture of certain "classics", but a majority of which are rare 90's songs ( alot of which haven't been played since) and other oddballs.

I agree. I can't say I'd be thrilled for a 90's show, but it would certainly be an amazing experience (and most likely the last time those songs will ever be played live).

Also, our setlists look pretty similar!

I think a Fear of the Dark stage would be very cool, indeed.

I would be happy with any kind of show that is different from the last show (as much as I loved it) ... a no spoiler thread would just be icing on the cake :halo:

If this turns out to be true, it could be very interesting indeed.

That would make the most sense. They could cover the Blaze era simply by adding 2-3 songs that were featured heavily on the first reunion tours. My guess is we'll get 2 songs from No Prayer (or just Bring Your Daughter) and 3 from FOTD (including ATSS and the title track). Throw in Sign of the Cross and Clansman (or Futureal) and they've "covered" the entire 90's catalog, thus ending their history tours and allowing them to look towards an end game strategy for the band. Also, this leaves the remaining 6-7 songs to deliver the greatest hits package we all expect.

EDIT: Based on the tours from the 90's (and being optimistic about some Blaze material), I wouldn't be surprised by a setlist that looks something like this:

Be Quick or Be Dead
From Here to Eternity
Wrathchild
Die With Your Boots On
Tailgunner
Sign of the Cross
Bring Your Daughter…To The Slaughter
2 Minutes to Midnight
The Trooper
Afraid to Shoot Strangers
Holy Smoke OR Futureal
The Clansman
Number of the Beast
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
Run to the Hills
------
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Sanctuary
I would be quite content with that set.

Exactly!
I'd expect the setlist to look something like this.
Doctor Doctor
1. Number of the Beast
2. The Fugitive
3. Unbeliever
4. The Fugitive
5. Unbeliever
6. The Fugitive
7. The Trooper
8. Unbeliever
9. The Fugitive
10. Unbeliever
11. The Fugitive
12. Fear of the Dark
13. Iron Maiden (with excerpt of The Fugitive in the middle section)
----
14. The Unbeliever
15. Intro of Hallowed Be Thy Name to trick the fans, then of course the rest of the song is The Fugitive
16. Run To The Hills
Fugitive outro tape

Meh....everyone knows the encore will be the 23 minute extended version of "The Angel and the Gambler" with drumming by Steve Harris.

Hmmm. one more announcement left, tomorrow. Bloody Sunday!

Fuck!

Yeah, but that's old news. And they'll be touring the exact same countries they do now.

I'd heard Alter Bridge would be there, but no-one was sure how high up the list they'd be. And now...on with the speculation.

So no 90s tour? if there would be a 90s tour with an advanced stage of 92 concept with trees and other thing would be cool.

And btw, dont you think a 90s set list would be a perfect tour to put some OLD MIGHTY SURPRISES like caught somewhere in time, alexander the great and other songs?

It's going to be a 90s tour, mark my words. Live At Donington 92 is probably also on its way sometime in the near future.

And I agree, putting some nice surprises from SIT or Piece of Mind in would be really fantastic!

Maiden England 88 was released in March this year and En Vivo! was released in March last year, both came out just before my birthday. I'm going to predict a DVD release of 'Live at Donington 92' for late March 2014.

Yeah, a nineties setlist would be the perfect framework for such nineties classics as Alexander the Great...

Just like Maiden England was the perfect framework for such Maiden England classics as Fear of the Dark, Afraid To Shoot Strangers and Phantom of the Opera? :D
