RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

They could but that would totally fucked considering that everyone knows of Bruce's issues at Knebworth. Also would it not sound quite incongrous, outdoor footage with indoor sound? I'm no expert in these things but I think it would be noticeable. Although Live Chapter proved that they can happily release incongrous live stuff.

I'm sure there's lots of chat among them as to how to do this live release.
The best is like flught 666 that would be easier for them but they are going to use paris for sure, maybe video for a documentary at kneworth and the rest who knows.

I find the Simon Dawson hate so funny because especially this year I can't think of a time at the three shows I've attended where he's been the cause of a genuine fuck-up, and any minor slips are in full "Nicko would have done that sometimes too lmao" mode like dragging a bit on the extended Seventh Son interlude. Adrian's fucked it, Jan's fucked it, Bruce has fucked it. Are they not cutting it either?

Either way, the band seems to disagree with you and you can tell they enjoy working with him onstage.

Maiden has never performed these technically perfect performances night after night, they're a machine that sometimes gets ahead of itself or drags a bit and then comes roaring back in. It's part of why I enjoy their live shows so much.

Given that, I think Simon is doing an excellent work, it cannot be easy to join a band that has a habit of losing itself in the music, and stepping in for a bloke who's adjusted to and shaped that chaos machine over 42 bloody years.

The man's playing stadiums, headlining festivals, and being recorded multiple times for live albums, and visibly having a good time doing it. The band is clearly happy working with him and happy with how he's playing. People could really stand to be a little more respectful.

Every bit of Paris footage they don't release is an absolute tragedy - they were on *fire* that night. Live in Paris with an encore fudged together would still probably be up there with their best live releases ever.

I think Flight 666 is a great film in total but I much prefer a concert film to be from one show. This new one is obviously going to be a different beast but I hope it's not different songs from different places the whole way through. The more Paris the better, for me.

They will use the paris show as they said. And people said they were really good

I've heard this rumor about a special bonus show in London that's supposed to be filmed. But that doesn't make any sense.
Why not film in South America instead?
I'm just wondering where that rumor comes from, since I just saw that it's mentioned here, too.
I just don't see this happening. The only way I could fathom an additional show in London is if they did a 4-5 show residency at the O2 next year as a compromise with Steve.

But with Bruce gearing up his solo band for May, I'd say it's increasingly unlikely.

Im sure the can record anything on the dates confirmed

They won't fly around the world, do weeks of rehearsals and gather the full crew required for a couple of shows. The Maiden machine moves very slowly so if there really is nothing planned for next year at this point, I can't see anything happening at all that involves the whole band.

Of course they might be trolling us all and there's a mega album sitting on a flash drive in Kev's desk drawer but that doesn't seem too likely either.

I reckon whatever video they cobble together from this cursed Euro tour will be 2027's Maiden output.

Btw if they record all thr shows from the feedback of the screens they can use any for the missing paris show.

Live After Death was cobbled together. Rock in Rio was cobbled together. And if they can produce albums such as Flight 666 and Live Chapter from multiple recordings across continents then whatever they have here is very doable.

The thing about LAD and RiR is that they are cohesive, they look like the one show (mostly) and the audio and visual mesh like a true live show.

Flight 666 is obviously acknowledged as being from different shows and while this isn't my favourite kind of live album, the audio and visuals mesh, the videos look and sound live. With Live Chapter there's a distinct disconnect within the videos of the individual songs. It's like the audio is layered over the top of the video and not meshed together, not organic. Live Chapter feels like the 'live' music videos they did for Clairvoyant, Afraid To Shoot Strangers, Out Of The Silent Planet. Which is fine for those kind of videos but I haaaate it on Live Chapter cos I loved that show, one of their best and it's represented by their worst live video. Their only bad live video, in my opinion. I find those videos pretty much unwatchable.

So yah, whatever they do I hope it's nothing like the Live Chapter videos.

To me it's obvious to use Paris as is and throw the encore on at the end from wherever. 2 Mins is a trickier one. Should they add it into Paris in its usual place or throw it on the end as an extra? If they add it in its normal place then we lose the drama of the power cut and also the return to the stage with Bruce's little speech and the bombastic start of Rime.

Best video maiden england. I saw in an interview of maybe the early days dvds that LAD was like the whole production to present how hugue the band was snd maiden england was what the fan see in a show from thr first rows. And i love that video, worst thing is bruce vocals shape.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Maiden England. Growing up it was a fine counterpoint to LAD, more raw and a significantly different setlist. Always confused me why they didn't include the encores in the original release.

I didn't really mean cobbles together as a negative. It just is what it is at this point, through no fault of their own they are having to adjust to circumstances. It's a shame but getting any sort of official release is still good news.

I'd love a proper video from Future's Past, cobbled or otherwise.
