RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

No shit.

1999 was 27 years ago. If he hadn’t done something about it then he would have been bald as a cueball two decades ago.
I don't think Steve had any hair transplants. Back in 1999, I stood right next to him at a meet and greet, and you could already see gray roots. Steve dyes his hair regularly; he's actually completely gray. He’s definitely lost some hair, but he has bangs to cover up his high forehead a bit

If they had 50k then that's quite good I would say.

Sonisphere 2014 with Maiden and Metallica headlining apparently had 30k, although that number isn't official

The Metal Hammer review mentions 50000 fans in attendance.

Not sure if that is quite good though, especially considering it was announced as a one-off extravaganza and last year they had 70k at London Stadium when they were also playing in Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow...

Steve - Bangs
Adrian - Bandana
Bruce - Man-bun

However, recently H has had some work done at the front recently. At least noone opted for the Alexandar Živojinović patented "gray moss" toupee.

Steve Bangs!

The long-awaited autobiography of Steve Harris, telling the story of his lifelong dream of becoming a professional footballer, and how he ended up settling for Iron Maiden instead.

Stay tuned (in E) for more news.

Steve's hair hasn't really visible changed since it started very slowly moving back in the 1990s. Even when it was moving back at the front he still always had a ton of it.

It's never had a dramatic magical comeback like the guys from Kiss where he just shows up with more hair again one day or the texture has magically changed because it's a joke shop wig.

His hair has pretty much always looked the same so maybe he's either lucky or he's taking finesteride to slow down the hair loss.

I always felt bad for Blaze when he joined that he was five to ten years younger than the rest of the guys and he was the only one visibly badly balding.

Nicko and Janick have apparently immortal hairlines.

Steve's was slowly moving back.

Davey started developing a thin spot around virtual XI but with careful combing it really wasn't noticeable for another decade. He then would get it fixed.

As soon as poor old Blaze started to sweat he looked like George Costanza and had to go with a hat by 1998.

Why did I write all that?

A quick out of retirement Eddfest review,it was awesome. We got there Friday 6pm and left Sunday, no issues at all with parking although the car park could have been a bit closer to the actual event.

Maidenville was fun and Blaze was great on Friday night, he clearly loved it too. The Clansman , Futureal and Angel and the Gambler were highlights for me.

The show on Saturday was as loud as i`ve heard a crowd in a while singing like crazy all through the concert. The fact that Bruce felt the need to apologise at the end of the show for his voice is a mark of the man as a performer, he still sounded really good, the encore was loud as fuck , hope they use it on the live release.

45k -50k who cares it was rammed , people having fun and looked and sounded like 70k anyway.:D

Every time Simon comes out to throw sticks in to the crowd on this tour the support he gets is massive, no pub drummer vibes going on at all.

Lastly the whole camping thing was just great fun, good weather , great people to talk to and have a beer with, Brits, Greeks, Canadians, Brazilians and loads of Americans all near us . Spending Friday night listening to the Brazilians reenacting Hallowed from Rock in Rio 2001 was pure class. My faith in humanity and Maiden fans is reborn again after this weekend when i was reminded the world is full a fans who love Maiden just as much as me and boy did we fucking enjoy sharing it with them.

Oh and Bruce said, `see you in a couple of years, maybe sooner, don`t worry we aren`t going anywhere` so happy days.

Thanks for the review. I am glad you had fun and were not affected by the traffic/car park issues!

I think its fairly obvious that Steve dyes his hair. I don't think there are naturally brown haired 70 year olds for example.
