That could work or not Lol. I dont see them writting good short rockers. The last good and real short rocker maybe was bruce silver wings. If we mix all the songs they have written. I dont see anymore that kind of songs since BNW.

Yep. If Steve's not feeling up to it, there are enough good songwriters in the band to write the lion's share of the album. It would be fun to imagine a scenario where Adrian ends up with the bulk of the songwriting credits, and we end up with something akin to a reunion-era styled version of Somewhere in Time--not so much sounding like it, but just having Adrian's stamp all over it.

The Final Frontier burnt Adrian out on that front. I think he tried to make it more lush sounding, but was overridden on lots of production decisions.
 
They could pull a Kiss and release 6 albums, with each one full of songs written by a single band member…LOL. The Dave and Janick ones could go any number of directions, and who knows what Simon’s might sound like…

I have a suspicion this is a more important episode than is understood. The other things that happened during Final Frontier was the poor state of Compass Point studios and having to bring in extra equipment / finish the album in Malibu (I think).

I would have preferred if Adrian was allowed to influence that album more.

And separately, the ethereal theme of the Eddie sketches from the inner sleeve had been developed as the main album/single art.

Instead, Bruce took pride in making the artist add yet more teeth to the eddie (worst album eddie of the reunion era by far). And the album was left with the raw, live feel.

I think there's a better version of TFF out there in some parallel universe, which songs as good as Starblind and Wild Wind deserved. Still an awesome album, but I don't feel it was all that it could have been.

There are some good songs and ideas in that album. Didnt find the eddie that bad. Specially the big eddie during iron maiden.
