Some chat about whether new music is on the table in the latest Kerrang Interview

Steve - "Someone told me I should be writing, but to be able to do that, you need to go and do different things before you can come back refreshed.”

Bruce - “Personally, I would love to do another album. I would rather do another album than another tour. If I had to choose between the two, I'd rather choose a new album, but Steve's the other way around. He will tour and tour and tour and tour until he probably dies onstage. Touring is fun, but it's not new. I'm a creative bunny, and I like making new, new things.”

Steve - “I think Bruce would love to do a new album, and I don't have a problem doing one. I just think if we do one, it's got to be at the right time. But everybody's got to want to do it, so we'll have to see about that. I don't want to say too much about it, but I'm not saying we're not going to do one, I'm just not saying we are eager to rush into it.”

if the next move is more touring, that in itself gets to be a creative endeavour of sorts:

Bruce - “That will involve, I would say, 90 per cent of this set going in the bin. There’s so much to do, so many possibilities. It's really quite exciting.”

First, thanks for the link. Here is the spot. End of rumours of retiring. The doubt is do another album or tour and tour. Both choice are ok to steve but an album at the right moment if there is one.

With Bruce still plugging away at the followup to The Mandrake Project, I wonder if he'd just end up being creatively sapped if work were to begin on IM18 next year. Perhaps that's what Steve could be referring to as 'waiting for the right time', but more than likely I'm thinking too deep about it.

It's interesting to hear that Bruce prefers a new Maiden album than a new Maiden tour, now. He just have to convince the others. Steve's answer is rather optimistic, waiting about the right time (early next year? or this is time for BL). It's curious that he added ''i don't want to say too much about it''.

I think we can end the rumours of retiring.
They will retire if something happen like nicko or they think they are not good enough a good show. And the 2nd im sure they will. So maybe we have 1 album tour and one more without album tour .

Now as the gossip maiden magazine that we are, we start ....
Starts: Nicko should be in the new album (yes)
