RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

I ALWAYS associated Aces High with the Flight 666 live version as I've seen that movie a dozen times already. Magical!

Unfortunately nowadays I associate it with the fact the band is apparantly trying to purge it from their fans' minds with how horrible Bruce sings it nowadays. Shame, cause I love the song, just not the current live version

Maybe the same with Fear of the Dark, but that mainly has to do with the fact that song become a lot more theatrical in the past years as opposed to Bruce running around stage getting the crowd hyped up. Also has to do with his age I guess.

This unfortunately is a problem of an only 80s maiden tour. You have to play the top 2 and last 2 songs off of Powerslave regardless of the quality of the performance. These songs are the 4 horsemen of every 80s only tour.

Just fucking brilliant. They play one of my favorite Maiden songs in a year when I won’t be able to see them. Really wished they’d play this last year.

Of course they had to play Infinite Dreams on the one leg I decided to skip.
Because why not?

Unbelievable. The one time im not going to see them and they play ID

Bruce sounding extremely good on Infinite Dreams. I can't believe they are playing it. Can't believe it.

This tour and summer is problematic, because I wasn't prepared for such change in setlist.
Just saw this tour last summer and now they've brought my absolute, alltime favorite song back.
Never heard it live and would like to, but definitely not yet sure if can make it to any show.
If I had known about this I would have booked flights and hotel to some city and went to see them.
I've waited for this moment since late 80's and I can't believe that they finally do it when I might not be able to make it.

Have to think and see in the next few days or so..

Different vocal line after the key change in the chorus...
To escape at least a bit of the BDSM.
This doesn't help, this song is for high vocals. It's really puzzling. Just because of the video, but they're lazy to make a new one for Tailgunner or other song, as we've seen (the potential for Infinite screen art is there, so atypical of them, plus they have a studio working for them)... the set only needs one more change.

And that’s it for the night. Infinite Dreams was the only change made. Status quo across the entire setlist.
Can't say I'm overly excited. The night of the 2025 tour start I was up all night to watch the entire setlist. "Oh my god RIME.... Oh my god SEVENTH SON"!!!

I know, deep down, they weren’t gonna change much, but honestly can't say I'm more hyped now that we get Infinite Dreams over Clairvoyant. They're both great songs and I don't prefer one over the other.

I think I was just expecting too much. But for someone who's first Maiden gig was in 2022 I was really hoping for.... well, even more? I mean, there's already a big chance I won't see songs from ANY of the reunion albums between DoD and BoS. So hoping for some more surprises from the older albums isn't unlikely in my case.

And not to mention, again no NPFTD. Shame...

Likewise buddy. Seeing rumours of Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Tailgunner really got me pumped. It’s 1:30 AM here in India and i feel like I stayed up for nothing.

Or admitting father time really screws you and tune down for a couple of songs (or Aces alone). That would 100% solve it. But nah... "we're pure, no down tuning"... smh
It's not even that. It's nature! Everyone's voice naturally lowers as they age (until a point anyway) and singers in particular have to come to terms that their vocal cords simply aren't as elastic as they used to be when they're past their 20s. Bruce used to understand the value of technique, which is why he actually learned to sing in the 90s after a decade plus of shredding his voice screaming his lungs out.

It's what got us here, where he's still capable of delivering a Maiden set in his sixties after having dealt with cancer in his head and neck. But somehow the last step of that progression, where you alter the key of what you sing to accommodate your voice naturally lowering completely eludes him. Can't even blame Steve since he's been stubbornly doing the same thing on his solo outfit too.
