It does if the one paying is a well established promoter with an insane amount of money available (talking about Live Nation here) and the other is just a band.

Calling all those big bands would be financially impossible for a band, which has to pay for everything else already. Also, how many tickets can they shift anyway? Because that's a 23k cap festival happening on a saturday and yet tickets are still available. It would make very little sense to pay astronomical amounts of money to sell 10k tickets more at best. At that point, it's better to just leave the sales as they are, hoping for an improve and get 100% of what you're making on site those days.

I literally don’t know how you manage to get advance information on festival ticket sales, since there are no assigned seats, but I think that if they reach 50k, it won’t be anything embarrassing.

As for the lineup, it’s obvious that at least one more big band (Judas Priest) would increase demand, but with Blaze Bayley, for fans, it’s at least appealing.

This comment reminds me of the best ‘heckle’ I ever heard at a gig. It was during Bruce Springsteen in Hyde Park 2009. There were two Americans behind me. One shouted ‘Woooo music!’ The other then shouted ‘Wooooo concert!’ I still chuckle to this day thinking about it.

I mean, what can I say? Believe what you want, keep asking yourself "why knebworth? why they don't add more bands?" all day and we'll all be happy.

Should we close this thread anyway? There hasn't been rumors and speculations since the last announcement and it's highly unlikely we'll get one more gig. It's just a place where people cries if Iron Maiden sells good, cries if they sell poorly.

I assume they'll use some footage from the 2025 Paris shows and other (outdoor) shows as usual ( ).

As for the setlist, maybe they could change one song, after all Bruce dropped one of his toughest songs during his solo tour last year. I'm thinking Aces (they want such a version on a official live album?), but they like the screen stuff for it. Maybe not Infinite Dreams, but Evil That Men Do or something (I wouldn't want to swap Clairvoyant). It all depends on their desire... like new music now...
