Adrian, Janick and Dave's guitars and Steve's basses

A video from Instagram of H playing the 50th Anniversary Jackson, a very great rendition of the TWOTW solo, it looks great, he also said he will use this guitar live, which is nice:

Also, he still has the Rosso Corsa LP from TBOS era with him, as seen in the video standing behind Adrian, (unless this is another one, because IIRC he sold it to the guitarist of the Wild Lies).

Cool from Adrian. :) Some of the different licks he used for TWOTW solo here are interesting and fitting, he always finds the right melodies. Playing recent music is great, some inspiration for a new one maybe.

The backing track, the instrumental of the song- the production sounds different than on the album (the drums, they sound a bit more polished, right; even faster or?). Adrian's original demo?

Yeah the backing track sounds quite different, I’d say it’s either Adrian’s original demo or probably a recent backing track recorded by Adrian himself with drum machine or so.

Offtopic, but guitar related, I’ll be playing guitar with a Maiden tribute this Sunday, and one of the songs we plan to play is Moonchild, I was planning to do the synth intro on guitar just like H does it on the Flight 666 version.

How can I set my delay pedal (the Boss DD3T) to play this? Also, should I use a chorus?

I believe it's a dotted 8th note repeat. Tempo depends on your playing tempo. ☺️
If it's any help, the delay time measurement on this would be roughly 380ms, up or down slightly depending on the BPM as mentioned by KostamojeN - but if you have a way to tap-tempo it, then yeah set to dotted 8ths and tap tempo to the quarter note of the BPM

I'm quite new to the world of delay (despite playing guitar for about 35 years) but I'm noticing that something in the ballpark of 380ms seems to be a very common setting (except for special circumstances/ unusual sounds).

David Gilmour, for example, has 2 main settings 370/ 380ms (though there are specific exceptions)

Well, my experience is that you can get away with most of the things if you set repeats to roughly 380-390ms. I'm kinda lazy and play with the delay set to that time with 3-4 repeats and it works well.

I usually set my delay time to around 400-420ms just as I like a 'slightly' longer delay, but it's still comfortable and doesn't get too much in the way of the following 'playing' notes. Of course, you should play around to find what you like, or focus in on the 370-380 range for that 1/8th note Moonchild (or as mentioned, very common David Gilmour delay, eg. 'Run Like Hell' riff)

In this interview, Adrian said (14:35) that he's getting a new Lado guitar made and it's a real beauty (''it's a real metal machine''). Looking forward to it, especially the color (maybe blue like 1988?). I assume for the Maiden tour. He said he rediscovered them.

His favorite guitars: Les Paul Goldtop (he don't bring it on the road anymore), his Jacksons (the new 50th anniv one too).
