I still find it odd coming from members/ex-members of a band that has always taken pride of not charging for meet and greet events.
 
Management made this suggestion, and Nicko and Bruce said, “With this guy? No way!”
Then management said, “ And what if you go home with a nice chunk of cash?”

Standard practice for all celeb guests at conventions. Prices will vary. I saw a photo where Mark Hamill was charging up to $700 for an autograph. I never pay for autographs/pics at conventions but I would pay for a pic with Nicko and Bruce

Yeah someone i work with paid a pretty penny this year for a Photo with Robert Patrick from Terminator 2 and then Charisma Carpenter from Buffy.

Yup, my friend couple days ago meet Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker & voice of Joker from Batman animated series) and it was not cheap :-)

Now we can speculate about them arguing over Bruce costing $50 more than Nicko.
 
I really feel a bit sorry for Nicko. Why is Bruce worth more? I thought Nicko is the good-looking one.

I have never paid for my photos with musicians or other celebreties, so I don't know if this is always so expensive.
A photo with the complete band Iron Maiden is something I don't have yet. Then that would be about 600 EUR?

It's a convention. The single point of those conventions is to book famous people and charge money for fans to get stuff signed or photos taken.

It's my understanding that it's the guest's agent/management sets the prices for autographs/pictures. Also at some conventions they bring in a professional photography business to handle the photo ops. My guess is they get a cut as well? Or maybe they are just paid by the convention.
