I am really curious to see the setlists on the first shows.

Shadows of the Gods is confirmed for the tour, and I wonder which Maiden song he pulls out. I am starting to think it's Sun and Steel.

As this is there first album as a band I think it is reasonable enough they don't bring in additional guitarists etc. Although I wouldn't put it past Bruce to have some weird instrumentation which did require a horn player or something of that ilk.....

The difference compared to TMP is that this time around he has a band that he toured with (and which he'll go on another tour with soon), so there's a feeling of unity, instead of using hired guns to do the job. TMP is the first time since TCW that he's had a dependable band that he enjoys playing with.
True, but that wasn't an issue for TOS, even though they didn't tour for the album. Or for BTP, recorded with one band and toured with different musicians. I'm starting to think Roy invited his friends to play on the album without Bruce knowing. One musician can overshadow another, for sure. Which won't happen with his new band because they seem to enjoy playing and get along so well.
The Roy Z albums were more of long-distance project though, right? Now he has an actual band he's vibing with, whom he enjoys playing with and who seem to participate in the songwriting process as well.
It's a way of looking up the things, but Bruce and Roy were the band, the main team. AOB-TCW lineup is probably a different beast. A special band in time.
I get why some fans would like guest contributions from Adrian for example, but personally I've never been a fan of musicians outside the band getting involved. Having a guest on a live performance can be neat, but on albums I want only the current band involved. That's a me thing though and obviously subjective.
Big agree, it doesn't matter if it's a first album - but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to hear Adrian write and play a solo song with Bruce again. I really like the new band, they're all great players (Dave and Mistheria have proven that before), but Bruce, Adrian and Roy are a special combo.

Yeah, like on almost all of his solo albums.

Shadow is the perfect song for Mistheria to shine even more (btw, he will be more lively on stage now). I wonder if it will be played at the end of the set. I don't expect that many different songs for the tour compared to the 1st leg, but rotating really helps so a few.

Regarding the new album, I'm curious about Bruce's theme/s, not only for the cover but for the songs, would it be a bit unifying like Mandrake (without a comic, or we can add TOS and TCW, ofc) or more diverse. A strong main theme/aesthetics for sure.

Im not sure if mistheria was the guy who recorded the keyboards durinh tyranny of souls he did a great job then. But live now i hate road to hell.

I did a poll on my twitter page. %55 voted Empire of the Clouds (which is of course a naive choice to say the least), %23.4 voted Flash of the Blade, %19.1 voted Sun and Steel and %2 voted Face in the Sand (I put it for -mostly- fun). I personally think he'll play Flash of the Blade. And hopefully at the first concert or this curiosity will kill me :)
