RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I am watching Metallica videos from the current tour right now and their production is quite shit in my honest opinion. Maybe it works for them, but for Maiden it would have been a disaster.

Maiden's set up works really well for them, but it just needs a little boost for stadiums. Something extra.
I actually hate the in the round set up for stadiums, went last year and it was very underwhelming most of the time you can see none of the band because they are way on the other side, just horrible for a fan viewing experience and I would never want to see Maiden attempt that

Unfortunately Maiden doesn’t draw big enough crowds to do all stadium shows. If they did, they probably would have put on a Rammstein or Metallica type production. However, a fancy production is just a bonus and it’s really all about seeing the actual band and hearing their music performed live.
That might be true, but reality is there set up is very underwhelming for the large stadium shows they are playing. To the point where I actually avoid seeing them in such set ups and will head wherever the closest arena show is.

I wouldn't want a rammstein-size or taylorswift-size show from maiden. when i look back to the shows i witnessed from 1998, i don't remember the walking/big eddie's, the flames, the lightning etc... i remember the songs, the performances, the emotion, how steve scans the audience with his bass, what bruce said somewhere, how Janick moved the guitar around his head (this one is a joke)...
But I get it, Bruce's promising statement was a factor in this critic, but this is the nature of the business, of course the man will advertise.

Exatly, after the declarations of Bruce and Rod we should expect something really different and mind blowing. Hard to tell after just random pic, but it seems to be the same old style with screens. But you're right, that's it!

To be fair, none of the things you mentioned would be missing in a bigger sized show. The songs would remain the same, as would the performances. Emotion isn't based on the size of the show either, nor would Steve and Janick adjust their behavior or Bruce what he's saying.

It's obviously fair for you to prefer the size we're familiar with for a variety of reasons though.

THIS PHOTO IS FAKE. Logo is generated in AI. You may reverse search original.
I doubt it's fake. And I think such design of the logo has been seen before?

The horizontal small screen is from TFP (nothing else is shown), the lighting rig is typical for Maiden and different from the last tour. The colorful effects on the screens are curious because I expect them to use landscapes and Eddies on them (ofc), not such effects like Bruce's solo tour. For the light show? I guess so.

Come to think of it, a big screen outlined by four horizontal small screens would make it look bigger and allow for more animations. So it should be cool. They liked what they did with TFP tour. But you can't tell it's the same stage from this photo at all. Bruce and probably Rod like to hype, but this time I have faith. We've seen examples of Maiden changes in recent years (stage, songs, member) - and ofc big LED show/screens IS different and exciting for them, even after the latest tour. I'll always like the backdrops best, but I want to see such a modern Maiden show. The tour is appropriate. They could do more for stadiums, but you just need a bigger (in look) stage, lots of pyro and stage ramp. That's it. Nothing special if you ask me. And Maiden's shows have always been more theatrical, so. Plus props, effects and pyro will add to the whole picture, no doubt.
Wow, nice. Such a different shape of the decor plus a big screen should look really cool. That's the biggest question, will they change the shape of the decor, it might look bigger that way. Plus some 3D effects, and will the stage be bigger. I would really like that.

The thing is, Maiden is a band experience. Every member is there on merit and brings something to the show, to the music. Ego ramps (Slash), levitating drum risers (Lee) and flying trapezes (Stanley) wouldn't work with Maiden because the focus is on the group, not an individual.

Of course, as with most groups, the front man is there to conduct the crowd and bring them into the experience, but it is a band experience over all.

I like Bruce climbing the scaffolding, I like Steve machine gunning the audience, I like the three amigos doing their thing, but I don't want any of them to take all the spotlight.

The current Metallica shows are awful - just four guys trying to fill an oversized, empty stage, and for me it just doesn't work as a spectacle. They're like four woodlice stood in a warehouse, occasionally swapping positions. They need the hanging speakers and busy video wall so there's actually something to see

Maiden stage is about props, special effects, Eddie(s), pyros, and the lights. Screens are only part of this, and (of course) we should wait and see what it takes altogether - probably four smaller screens, a big screen in the back should work well.

I guess, real decorations would be too costly..

I, personally, don't like the Metallica or Rammstein productions. It's a bit too much for metal music imo. I prefer the Maiden or even Priest simpler productions. Backdrops are fine imo, no need for a big LED screen, although they will have one this time around. I also like the props that bands like Maiden or Alice Cooper use. It's more original imo and it's easier to time travel back to the 80s that way.
Of course, I prefer arenas to stadiums. Not even close

It's not AI predicting, i'm writing what i want to see, AI visualizes it. There's difference
I'm curious, did you ask AI for your profile picture "to make Bruce Dickinson look like 80s MacGyver"? :lol:Just joking of course!

If Maiden use videos, they must be better quality than the Guns N Roses video wall I saw in 2021, the animations were awful. And Agreed about the new Metallica stage with those commenting above... at least when I saw the Hardwired tour they had the hanging TV screens which helped in the round if you were seated high up.
