I've never thought about this possible background of playing errors before:

Even after 36 years, Barry Graham Purkis aka Thunderstick still remembers a gig as Iron Maiden drummer:
“I was having an extramarital affair at the time. At the gig, my wife, my secret girlfriend and her husband were standing next to each other in front of me. I popped a few downers to calm myself down.”

I read it from the same place (as I follow ETHFC) but if you look for more info can you find it?
There's plenty of fake documentaries and movies claimed to be on Netflix and such...
We wil see, but Im really affraid that this is fake news for now.
 
This site does seem to be fake, it's existed for less than a month and seems very low effort.

That being said, my thought has been that if this documentary ISN'T releasing on Netflix then Maiden management will have SERIOUSLY fucked up. It would easily get in the top 10 most watched and get loads of eyeballs on them ahead of the tour.

Everything we know about this documentary is a fact they have been working on that since 2021. The 2025 tour is enormous success so we will see. I think they will release something like that at some point, maybe next year or in 2026. Who knows!?

I know George Michael has nothing to do with metal but this story about being distracted by someone in the audience reminds me of how he met his boyfriend Anselmo, whom he called later one of the most important people in his life:
He saw him in the audience.

There is actually a cute video of that live performance where you can tell at what point George saw him and how he makes an effort to look in a different direction for the rest of the performance. :wub:

The interviewer then asks Steve about the rumors surrounding Di’Anno potentially joining IRON MAIDEN as a guest on their upcoming 50th anniversary tour.

“I don’t think so, no former band member [will participate as a guest],” Harris responds. “In IRON MAIDEN we value what we are doing now. For now, we are not considering doing a big farewell show. Maybe, when we think about the end we will consider it, but for now, I don’t know. We are not finished yet.”

He later added on potential retirement: “Oh, no! I don’t want to think about it. It’s something that comes to everyone. Sooner or later, you have to accept that it will happen, but we hope to be able to continue for a little while longer.”

At another moment, when asked about any special plans for MAIDEN‘s 50th anniversary tour, Steve responds: “Yes, we have some ideas in mind, but I can’t tell you anything about it [laughs].

He added: “We have a lot of ideas, but we don’t have anything prepared yet, other than Bruce Dickinson doing a solo tour. We don’t have an album or anything like that” .

Frankly the band letting Paul anywhere near the stage would be a misjudgement of epic proportions.

Yes I understand he has health problems but he's also a egotistical drunken fuckup that can't keep his shit together on the small gigs that are organised around him. Him getting anywhere near an Iron Maiden show would be a guaranteed disaster.

I read this the other day and had mixed impressions of the findings. In general, I prefer more upbeat music so I expected to be on the 'happy' end of the results here.

This article aligns with my longstanding feeling that, while appreciate the musicianship, X Factor and AMALOD run a bit darker than my usual music tastes. They came in as the two 'saddest' albums on the list. In general my favorite albums were either grouped in the middle (Somewhere in Time / Piece of Mind) or lower (Dance of Death / The Final Frontier / Senjutsu) end of the list.

But when it comes to songs, I am a huge fan of three of the four 'saddest' songs Hell on Earth (2) The Great Unknown (3) and Isle of Avalon (4).
I don't think Isle of Avalon is sad / dark, although a lot of the other ones in the top 10 are.

Either way it makes for an interesting read.

This has been shared and believed so many times; I wonder if management shouldn't even issue an official statement here that it's a fake.
