Your Top 5 Iron Maiden albums

Dont wanna rank them, its to hard and it varies
Tell me about it hahaha I don't think I've posted identical lists any time this topic has appeared. I think I have at some point said that Senjutsu is top 7 stuff, or even top 6 stuff. I think my ranking is weighted 80% towards sentimentality and 20% towards Iron Maiden's state and story behind the album.

1. Somewhere in Time
The aesthetics. The sounds. The tracks themselves. I love everything about this one and wouldn't change anything on this album.

2. The X Factor
It's an album I associate with a certain rainy mood. This album offers me a great deal of comfort when in that mood. It's a great part in why I hold this one in such high regard.

3. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
I might prefer Somewhere in Time for the sound and art, though the highest points of this album even might surpass some aspects of Somewhere in Time.

4. Brave New World
This album is so strong and powerful that I can't even consider this album to be categorized as part of the reunion era. This one is a beast in a category of its own. Even if there is one particular track I don't like in this album, it is an album that inspires and builds confidence in me.

5. Senjutsu
I have recently realized that I like Senjutsu more than I like Piece of Mind. I see this album get some flak for being drawn out and some comments of self-indulgions from Iron Maiden in this album. It's funny to read comments giving them flak for the same reasons I love this one. I also think back to the times I went and saw Iron Maiden over the summer. It was exciting to see all types of Iron Maiden shirts and merchs that people were wearing. The interesting thing is that I got most excited seeing Senjutsu stuff. I think that's when I had that realization. I still listen to this one frequently and it still feels as fresh and strong as it did four years ago.

Top 4, in no particular order, are Iron Maiden, Killers, Somewhere In Time and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son.
Fifth would be Piece Of Mind or Powerslave, depending on the day of the week.

My list looks something like this. Aside from the Number 1, the order of the others can change.

1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son -- my favorite album of all time by any artist.
2. Piece of Mind
3. Somewhere in Time
4. A Matter of Life and Death
5. Senjutsu

I’ll have to save a full top 5 for another day, but my favorite Maiden album bar none is Killers. Sophomore slump? No way! The material on that album feels completely finished and it also ends with my all time favorite Iron Maiden song, “Drifter”! My biggest regret in life is not being old enough to have yo yo yo’d with Di’Anno. ):

I'm not putting them in the top five because they don't deserve it as they're just too flawed but I will say this... I like A LOT of the stuff on the two Blaze albums to the extent I enjoy covering those songs with my band and I am glad they exist. Just thought I'd mention that.

Anyway.

1. Seventh Son
2. Dance of Death
3. Somewhere in Time
4. A Matter of a life and death
5. Powerslave
