I've been Maiden fan since 1982. So, this thing, with Maiden, is a long and joyful journey for me. Anyway, my all time top 10 list would be something like this:

Ghost of The Navigator

Two songs that are unusually popular on this forum and two that are probably in the forum's bottom ten.
 
First post here. Became a Maiden fan when I was about 12 years old in the mid-80's. One of my first concerts was Somewhere In Time, then saw 7th Son about a year later. Got into different bands in the 90's but got back into Maiden after seeing the Rock n Rio show. AMOLAD really sold me on the current lineup and I saw them again on the 2008 tour and then another time in about 2012 or so. For the last few months i've been listening to a lot of the songs that came out after Bruce and Adrian rejoined the band, and I have to say that it's amazing for a band to get back together and may actually be better then they were before.

1. Hallowed Be Thy Name - The best heavy metal song ever recorded. Everything that is great about Maiden is in this song. Strong lyrics, the great build up, the beautiful guitar melodies.

2. Aces High - Their best concert opener and a fantastic memorable chorus. In 2008 when the lights went out and I heard the Churchill speech I got chills down my spine knowing what was to come.

3. For the Greater Good of God - I remember playing this song when I got the AMOLAD album and thinking how can they come up with something this good at this stage of their career? Brilliant lyrics from Steve and a great performance from Bruce. This song grabs you and doesn't let you go.

4. Paschendale - A month ago this song probably wouldn't be on my list, but i've been listening to a lot of the later day songs lately. That riff Adrian came up with is like a knock out punch. The subject matter is captured perfectly in the lyrics. One of those songs that really couldn't get any better.

5. The Trooper - A tour de force. Maybe one of the most memorable guitar melodies by any band ever.

6. Infinite Dreams - Probably the best song from the late 80's period. To bad they've basically forgot it exists.

7. Phantom of the Opera - Love how this song seamlessly moves from being aggressive and fast to the catchy middle part. First indication of what was to come with the dual guitar melody.

8. Fear of the Dark - I've seen it get some flak in this thread, but when I saw it on Rock n Rio I was blown away. Really one of the best live songs they have.

9. When the Wild Wind Blows - Another song that's captured my attention in the last month or so. Great lyrics and story from Steve.

10. Blood Brothers - Just one of those songs you can't help sing along to. Love the chorus.
