Your Maiden blasphemy

Not even Paschendale?

Hence the blasphemy.

Lack of affinity doesn’t equate to antipathy for the album or particular songs on it in my case. DoD is still better than 80% of the albums other bands make, it’s just not high on my list as far as Maiden’s concerned.

I only asked out of interest, because I was keen to see if your lack of affinity extended to generally the most highly praised part of the album, or whether it was the album as a whole. I've heard quite a few people mention not liking DOD with the exception being Paschendale and the title track.
Oh darn it, my bad.

Worst song debate time!

Paschendale vs. Weekend Warrior!!

Wrong.
Or, depends on the number of "other bands".

As an individual album, I hold it above any album done by Megadeth but below any album done by Tool (this doesn’t mean I hold Tool above Maiden when comparing style or overall bodies of musical work).

Good for you Diesel.

I like 'Dance of Death' a lot, but I consider 'Rust in Peace' to be a superior album. However, if someone doesn't like Megadeth then I can understand why they'd say they rank 'Dance of Death' above any album by Megadave.

I find it easier to rank my 8 least favorite Maiden albums than it is to rank my 8 most favorite. DoD stands as the only post-reunion album on that lower 8 list.

8 least favorite:

#9 SiT
#10 SSoaSS
#11 DoD
#12 Killers
#13 FotD
#14 NPftD
#15 tXF
#16 VXI
