And Blind Guardian takes the second spot behind Group winner Queen. Both advance to the round-robin.
Van Halen and Motorhead will try to join them by claiming a spot in the wild card round. And the other five bands are eliminated.
Good news for Mosh — not only did Extreme get more than one vote, they also stayed out of the basement by beating Avenged Sevenfold.

On to Group 3:
Alice In Chains, Gamma Ray, Journey, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Michael Schenker, Slayer, UFO, Y&T
One of the weaker groups in my view. Zep is a given. Schenker is among my favourite guitarists, so I’ll take him and UFO. And I’ll wrap with Y&T, an at-times excellent band that unfortunately got sucked into the hair metal scene.

I didn't mean those are weak bands. I like all four a lot. I just don't think the forum does.
I think Zeppelin is the only one of these nine that has a chance to move past the round of 32.
The rest might have been lucky to place fifth in the group we just finished.
 
Led Zeppelin wins and moves on into the round-robin
Looks like we'll have to do a tiebreaker for second spot.
Winner of Gamma Ray, Slayer and UFO will move into the round-robin.
The other two will move into the wild card round
