Eggs are around $6 IF I can find them.

I also understand the bird flu angle, and DOGE's "work" in making it more difficult to contain bird flu. But, most importantly, Trump was explicit throughout the campaign that he would bring the cost of eggs down immediately. He may have even said that he would get the price of eggs down before taking office.

The clock is ticking. I would like to pay $3 for eggs again sometime in the next four years.
 
Here, a dozen large free range eggs are £3.50 ($4.51) or I could buy 20 caged hen eggs (I wouldn't) for £2.99 ($3.85).

Feel like making an omelette or two now.

Like defending claims they cut $80million on research on transgender mice. Or labeling a senator "traitor" for visiting Ukraine and even having the nerve to write that a peace deal must ensure Ukraine's security.

Reading about Scandinavian boycott initiatives I wish German consumer groups would have those balls. Then again, what we really need is an EU-Canada free trade treaty that would show the US just how little they are needed.

The Swedish Facebook group is currently at 75k, which isn't half bad with barely any media traction (around 0.7% of the population is in the group). Even at that number, it can make a relatively substantial finanical mark in the Swedish market, as long as they do it long term and with loads of products.

Now now, it was $8 million. And the mice weren't transgender, they were being used for transgenic research, which is an entirely different thing. But it has trans in it, so it must be bad! Like how the US military is being ordered to delete pictures of the Enola Gay because it says gay in it.

The sad thing is, this kind of stupid shit we already saw with Trump Mk. I. Now with Trump Mk. II we still get that ... plus all the stuff that is an actual threat to the US democracy, and indirectly to world stability. Albeit some foundations for this were laid by MkI, like them getting the opportunity to appoint three Supreme Court judges.

So I guess let's laugh at what is mainly ridiculous (like removing pictures of the Enola Gay), and save the worries for the big issues.
 
What is frustrating about all this is that none of the things that are happening are really surprising. We knew what they'd try to do and we warned people Trump and his underlings will pull exactly the kind of shit they are doing now. But none of that matters to people who voted for Trump. They lied to our faces claiming to care about the economy, the prices and how they'll get through the day (even in this very thread!) only to turn around and proclaim that they are enjoying Trump's shitty economy because liberals are mad.

It was never about principles or ideals. It was never about policies. It was never about a single political thought. MAGAts only care about their team winning. They are objectively worse off and suffering due to Trump's actions (and things will get muuuuuch much worse) but they are happy as long as the libs are mad. The definition of cut your nose to spite your face.

Returning to this, considering how Tesla sales dropped by 76% in Germany, maybe it's not all that bad. And Musk lost $116 billion in Tesla stocks since he became president.

Something tells me we should start to worry, though. A psychopath like Musk will no doubt want to take all of us down with him.

Digression, since Chinese electric cars were mentioned. My neighbour owns one, a BYD. According to the text on the rear hatch it stands for "Build Your Dream". As a Maiden fan, I associate differently :innocent:
