USA Politics

Looking through desks, messing it all up

I know this is serious shit, and I really have to think twice about laughing at it, but you really have to laugh at your one there going to violently over throw democracy wearing a green bicycle helmet.

Some of the other pictures of all the lads in the cosplay outfits as well are fuckin hilarious too, Schaffer all done up in his fingerless gloves and oath keepers hat:lol:

Joking aside, we all know if that was BLM or Anti-Fa trying to storm any government building, never mind the seat of American Democracy itself, you'ld be talking thousands of them dead at this stage.

Trump needs to spend the rest of his life in jail, like any other would-be dictator would be facing.

Trump has been temporarily blocked from Twitter.

Shortly after Trump was elected, Petrucci gave a light Trump endorsement although I read that as a very non committal “he’s the president and I don’t know about or follow politics so I support him” response. I’ve heard that Mangini and Rudess are Trump supporters, but have never seen anything definitive.

Portnoy has been the most politically outspoken and is hardcore anti-Trump.
Alright. Interesting.

I expect the staunchest Republicans to keep considering what they are going to do coming elections.
To have such a dumb person leading such a mighty nation is dangerous.

@Collin If these points were important, then why are you so silent about Trump's (and his personnel's) more dangerous doings?

@bearfan Is your appreciation for Trump's transparent sleaze of a comparable level? How do you look at his (and his personnel's) leaking? You were very outspoken when Obama did wrong things, in your opinion. Is Trump really doing better in your view, or/and is it hard to criticize a Republican President, even if he's doing the dumbest and most dangerous things? Why the silence for this particular President?

@Cornfed Hick How entertaining do you find Trump's Presidency so far? Enjoying personal attacks on Trump as well? Why have you been so silent about his crappy Presidency? You seem to be more bothered about people who criticize him and the media.
Fo(u)r years I saw this coming. The USA is sick and will stay sick for a long time. The Republicans have not obstructed Trump in any way.

Obamacare will be gone. The environmental problems will get worse instead of addressed (increase of old school industry). Hate will be seeded. A wall will arise on the southern border. More division. More polarization. More distrust and hate towards immigrants and muslims... Probably no change in weapon access. The list goes on. On the long term, this is very bad. It's even worse that people don't get it.

At the wheel: a dangerous pathological liar who can do whatever he likes. Blind Americans are in the majority. They find suspicious e-mails more important. And thank fuck you FBI, for just enough interfering with unimportant stuff Americans were fooled by!

So apparently four people died during the incident, but three due to "medical emergencies"? QAnon supporters who suffered a stroke when they didn't find the poor children who were being abused in Pelosi's office? Someone died from exhaustion after too frantic waving of their Trump flag?

Sorry, I know it's probably not right to make fun of this now. People died.

In other news, the counting has been completed and Biden's win formally affirmed by Congress. And Trump, or someone writing on his behalf, has issued a statement committing himself to a peaceful transition of power on the 20th.

Thanks. :)

At least Petrucci has the balls to be honest, many people don’t. And in a few years, probably, nobody will admit to have voted for the orange asshole anymore.

You know what - as hypocritical and ridiculous as such denial may be, it would still be a good outcome. It would mean that in a few years, things have returned to a state of normality in which the Trump years are seen as something bad and dark. It would mean reason has come to dominate once again and that Trump support has become socially unacceptable. That would be great.

That's not yesterday is it? If so I'm jealous of the shirtless guy, we had snow this morning.

Let's hope so.

I find this so unlikely, it is would be more probable that Maiden releases three new albums over the course of a year. Just because Trump is gone doesn’t mean Trump and Trumpism are gone. He got almost as many votes as Biden did — and with Biden in office, we’re just gonna go right back to the conditions that allowed Trump to garner so much support in 2016. I don’t know what 2024 will be like, but since “Joe Biden is gonna take our freedoms away” (I’m going to piss my fucking self), I would expect, maybe not Trump again, although I’m very cynical about how he’s treated post-presidency, but certainly someone like him will rise up and I just really hope we don’t have to go through all this shit again.

Yes. My hope is that association with Trump becomes as politically toxic as supporting the Iraq war has become.

Another one of the really shouldn't laugh moments, but apparently one of the deaths was some prick who tasered himself by accident and had a heart attack.
