Democrat Jon Ossoff will win his Senate race in Georgia, CNN projects.

His win means Democrats will have control of the Senate. With Ossoff and Raphael Warnock's wins over Georgia's two incumbent GOP senators, there will be a 50-50 split in the Senate.

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, also a Democrat, will cast any tie-breaking votes.

Washingtonians are urged to stay home: curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM tomorrow, DC mayor says in live conference. She asked assitence from police from other states to come in and help, three days ago. I find it all confusing. Looks like some approval was needed for the national homeguard as well. The specifics of the deployment are not discussed.

They're in the Capitol building and not the White House. And they're insane anti-government Trump supporters.

Yes, I know. It sounds moronic that anti-government people can support the President. But that's an important part of Trump's success, he's got the conspiracy-loving right wing people to vote by pretending to be an alternative to the "corrupt DC elite".

No, they aren't normal run of the mill Trump supporters. But they are his zealots and he has been riling them up for months. This is what happens. This is how you kill the republic.
 
Travis, the Trump supporters have some very radical people among them.

Meanwhile, police took control of the front entrance (stairs) again. Trumpists were not in large numbers at that time.
Looks like several seem to leave now (others not).
