USA Politics

I don't think these people are Trump supporters. To me, mostly radical groups were involved in this who were among the supporters when they did it so it looks like Trump supporters are also involved. If Biden supporters were out there instead, it would like they were involved.
Except Trump has been telling his supporters that the election is being stolen from him and he's been instigating "action" for a long time. For fuck's sake, he held an event called "Save America March" just as Congress was to start certifying the election result.

When has Biden been urging supporters to "do something"?

There are also very radical people who don't support anybody.
As I wrote some posts back, Trump has actually got some of these people to follow him. Anti-government militia dudes think he is on their side. Remember how you pushed some of the ideas about what Obama would do? FEMA camps, martial law, all that stuff? Those guys believe in it and Trump has been playing on their fears.

To see a crowd of people waving Trump flags and question whether they are Trump supporters is a level of stupidity that I didn’t think even Travis was capable of. The sad part is that the same level of stupidity got 70 million votes.

I'll give Travis this much. There is no doubt there are mobs, militias and other hooligans in the US that are not Trump supporters. We know that the BLM movement has violent elements and we know there are vairous Antifa groups who are certainly violent.

But to claim that protesters coming straight from a Trump event might not be Trump supporters ... well. Of course it is possible. Just like it is possible that I become the ski jumping world champion a few weeks from now.

Maybe it's the cynic in me, but human nature being what I is, I wouldn't find it inconceivable for any side to be able to plan and perform a false flag operation in order to discredit the other side. People are just people and history is full of stuff like this and I don't think there's a reason to necessarily trust any group or party as if they were not just as ugly and small and pathetic like everyone else.

Or maybe I just read too much of Philip K. Dick growing up? Dunno.

(ah, we all know it's really my level of stupidity, from this and the Corona thread, at least, which undoubtedly will be pointed at in the next sarcastic post by someone)

That said, yes, in this particular instance I'd say it's much more believable those really are Trump supporters and I don't really understand Travis' position here neither.

Maybe they are Trump supporters. Maybe not. I'm open to all possibilities. What's wrong with that? Regardless, what happened was truly horrible.
And maybe Trump was involved with Osama Bin Laden. I'm open to the possibility. What's wrong with that?

What's wrong is I'm being delusional and equating the most absurd stance to be as plausible as reality.

False flag. Antifa wearing Trump and MAGA mechandise intentionally.
I know because my blind uncle a former GI told me that they definitely look like antifa covert OPs.

Funny these people are not black. Not because I saw their skin color, but the fact that they're still alive.
