USA Politics

Must be a bit bad for Obama now...looking back...Roasting Trump like that and then seeing his presidency go to the same guy. Ouch.

The news from yesterday is fucked.

Trump has threatened to deploy US soldiers to Mexico to take on "bad hombres" if Mexico doesn't. News stories about the recent JSOC raid in Yemen suggest that Trump ordered it reflexively without allowing for appropriate intelligence or support. And Trump spent thirty five minutes yelling at the PM of Australia, literally the US's closest military ally in the Pacific, and one of the strongest in the world, because of a thousand refugees Obama had promised to take.

Basically, either (1) Trump is a reckless nutjob who has no idea what he's doing, OR (2) he is a visionary who is tearing up the rulebook and upsetting the established (and largely ineffective) way of doing things, which will be painful at first but might eventually settle into effective leadership. Either is plausible. I have no doubt he believes he's the latter. And some of his hotels are very, very nice. But...yeesh, some of what he has done makes me cringe. So we'll see.

Also great:

Russia has recently become more aggressive again against Ukraine. Guess why: Trump won't do a fuck.

I heard Trump is gonna pull US support for Kosovo because Kosovars are Clinton (both Bill and Hillary) fanatics.

More aggressive than annexing Crimea and starting a proxy civil war in Eastern Ukraine?

I have really clear eyes when it comes to Putin/Russia ... they are in expansion mode .. no doubt. But this is really nothing new in the last 10 days

And Israel continue and increase their highly disputable and illegal building campaign, since Trump fully supports their side.

At least the U.S will not remove the sanctions, according to Nikki Hayley:
"The United States continues to condemn and call for an immediate end to the Russian occupation of Crimea," said Nikki Haley, President Donald Trump's envoy to the world body. "Crimea is a part of Ukraine. Our Crimea-related sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control over the peninsula to Ukraine."
Edit:
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have long called for a more supportive approach to Ukraine. They often criticized the Obama administration for its refusal to provide Kiev with defensive weapons.

He noted that Trump's new Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis both advocated during their confirmation hearings for providing Ukraine with weapons to defend its sovereign territory.
"I hope President Trump will heed their advice," Rubio said. "We must stand with the people of Ukraine during this difficult hour and make clear to Putin that relations will not improve until Russia respects Ukraine's sovereignty."

Let's hope that Trump will follow the advice of Tillerson and Mattis.

Very surprising. Who'd have thought that after Trump's recent critics! Let's be fair: When things go right, they should be mentioned!

Also: I hadn't expected this. Not at all. That's another praise!

This video is quite interesting if you want to know what Trump said about Russia before his campaign, he said that the U.S should do more economic sanctions against Russia.

That's also before Trump visited Russia, which is where many people believe his business received significant Russian investment. Then his tune changed.

By the way, where were you all when the Bowling Green Massacre didn't happen?

Forostar commenting that Russians were starting to 'get aggressive again' and someone replying in acceptance. Small arms fire never stopped since 2014, unfortunately, but Ukraine is to blame for breaking ceasefire now with large caliber artillery which was specifically banned by latest agreements. Read the three god damn OSCE reports that were released lately.

Is this president being a complete idiot on purpose?

“You’ve seen what happened in Paris, and Nice. All over Europe, it’s happening,” he said to the assembled military leaders. “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported. And in many cases the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons, and you understand that.”

So the very, very dishonest press doesn't want to report acts of terrorism? Whereas the very, very honest POTUS tells it like it is?
