Honesty, Dave Murray's Powerslave solo here is the single greatest Maiden solo, on one of the all-time best Maiden songs, from the absolute best Iron Maiden album!

Possibly one of the best of its type, but it's difficult to compare to the highly stylised, energetic solos. That comes down to individual taste. Although I seriously love a good Dave solo and have been voting for a lot of them, I still see Adrian CSIT as completely outclassing this one.

I would say that, although not the best Iron Maiden guitar solo, Powerslave is certainly Dave's best slow-Dave guitar solo.

The Only the Good Die Young solo is a top 10 Smith solo for me (#9 to be precise), but I prefer the feel in this jewel by his predecessor.

Never was a fan of SW, the song or the solo. OTGDY is funny and quirky and it gets my vote.
