Aye, Adrian is a toughy. I just found his newer stuff so hard to place in comparison with some of his supreme SiT stuff. Like Dave, so much good stuff just can't make a top ten. Well, I'd better let you get on with it...

You must be going in ascending order (of quality) then! :D

After some time of doing nothing about it, in the last couple of weeks I've actually been busy with this once a week or something. The Best Album Ever Survivor takes lots of my time (as do other things). Right now I have 11 solos left.

Why don't you get your ass in that other topic? Cried, you really must be the member who covers the smallest space on this forum :)

Well, well --two posts in two days! What's gotten in to you Forostar? :D

Always telling me off. Can I just remind you that you were the one that started this thread. Also, how do you know I haven't been following the Best Album Ever Survivor thread? You're spreading your fine self too thinly, my friend... :p

I have an unordered Adrian Smith top 10 now. Since it will take ages before I decide on the complete order, I'll do do this in fragments:

Adrian Smith

10. The Ides of March
Entrez, Adrian Smith! We're not only talking about the the first solo from the Killers album, but it's also Adrian's first ever solo that landed on Maiden vinyl. I like the playful character of it, with its well placed pauses. It has some longer and bright, high notes as well. The solo isn't very long, but it's worked out neatly.

Oh, sorry --since the thread was started last year (!), I'd sort of forgotten the brief...;)
(Of course I meant: don't recall considering it for my own top 10...)
