I love Anthrax but I Am The Law is insanely far from being their best song, let alone top 20 of all the songs that have appeared in this game. I have no idea how it made it so far.
 
I dislike Anthrax. I find them soulless and unmelodic. Dislike the vocals a lot. Maybe I should (re-)try some of the Bush period.
 
I think out of all the Big 4, Anthrax had the most punk rock spirit. I also think that this is why they transferred to hip hop so easily, a lot of the same attitudes from punk rock were found in early hip hop. Not soulless, but a different type of soul than what you'd find with Metallica or Slayer. Also, I liked Anthrax a lot because their vocals are so melodic. Belladonna often sounded like he should be singing in a 70's hard rock band, not a thrash metal band. It created a nice balance.

Bush period mostly sucks though.
 
I've never listened to Bush-period Anthrax, but I think there's a load of great stuff from their early albums and the most recent album was good as well.

Belladonna has no soul. He's like listening to Steve Perry from Journey, minus the range. His vocals were flat and often weak. He sang on some great material, don't get me wrong, but he was always the weak link.

John Bush is soul.

Give it a try. Listen to the same two I recommended to Foro. Stomp 442 and Volume 8 have some incredible songs, but are mostly mediocre (like most Anthrax albums as a whole).
