Damn, @Spaldy, that was awesome! I especially liked the bit starting at about 3:26 where the drummer played behind the beat.

What is that 6-string bass tuned to? BEADGC?

Edit: I found Anomos on Apple Music also.

The genre is something between Heavy Metal and Power Metal, with a bit of Progressive Metal influences and some Greek Folk here and there. It was a huge learning experience, since I did the whole thing (except the album cover) by myself. Maybe someone will find something they like.

I’ve only heard a little so far but it’s impressive. I can hear the Maiden influence, I think, but it’s not derivative.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! Yeah, I get a fraction of a cent per play. I've "earned" something like $6 via spotify so far lol

I'm currently recording my second album. A buddy of mine is a professional drummer and he offered to record drums for/with me. It's gonna take a while, but I'm looking into doing a lot more marketing this time around. Probably a couple of music videos and hopefully a few concerts down the line.

Do you also sell physical copies? For a CD guy like me it would be great. Nice to read you´re recording your second album. Need some guest vocals lol? :)

I'll have the new one professionally mixed and mastered (damn that'll be expensive :dead: ) and I'll probably have a few physical copies made. I could send you one when the time comes :)

And I actually thought about asking around for people who'd like to provide some additional vocals for choruses here and there. The second album will be less proggy and a bit more power/heavy metal. I really love those Blind Guardian-style choirs, but there's no way to do something like that by yourself lol

So, yeah, I might come back to that if you're not joking :P
 
Kinda related to this thread but where are peoples go-to platforms for promotion of original material? I know of TikTok of course, Youtube...Any particular reddit spaces or other places that are recommended? We're a pop/rock group that will release something quite soon and I wanna know where to "spam" it :lol:

I posted music in various subreddits but most of them usually are drowned out or don't gain any traction. Funnily enough the most success I've had, including connecting with some folks who regularly listen to the songs and with who I'm catching up every once in a while happened by complete accident. Like discussing things in a metal subreddit and mentioning something that happened to me (like discussing the gate-keeping that happens on the metal archives, yet my band and album was on there a day or two after release). People often ask to check it out, so I'm posting the link afterwards.

I'm looking to do a proper promotion cycle, including videos and singles, for the second album tho.
