The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

2017 dates please.
Don't have them yet...

I didn't get to hear/watch all the live stream the other night; just watching now. I kind of expect the four guitarists to still be capable; over the the years they may have lost focus or whatever, but it isn't like they're going to forget how to play guitar. But with Bruce & Nicko it's a different story, for all the reasons we've discussed. I have to say this performance really gives me hope that they really can keep this party going into the 2020's. Bruce, as Perun said, must have sold his soul or something. Never mind all things considered; he's just flat out sounding incredible. I'm genuinely surprised he's sounding this good. Nicko just needs to keep fit. Disappointing sound levels on Dave; but on the plus side, it was really nice to hear how clear Janick was in the mix. Can't wait to see them early next year in Glasgow...

EDIT: Janick wins the prize for best soloing of the evening. That sweep picking on FotD was fucking awesome! :notworthy:
:nonono: I heard it and said so on page 235, unattentive morons.
:D
Are you calling Cried a moron? :nonono:

On this tour, Dave gave me impression like he is vacationing. Playing with his pals and having a few Heinekens along the way.

This is very unfair of you to say. Dave always gives 1000% for MAIDEN! also does he drink heinikens? Is that not a beer from finland?

1. He does give his best, but he seems to have a great time travelling, drinking and playing with his pals.
2. Heineken is from Netherlands.

his best is better than all the other guitar players in the band! heniken is possibly distilled in Finland then --Is that what I am thinking matic22?

Speaking of Dave, I think his playing was excellent this year. TThis year's reindition of solos on SOL, TBOS, DOG, Hallowed, Powerslave, FOTD and Blood Brothers was very enjoyable. The only solo that I don't think was better than previous tours is TNOB. I think his approach to that solo was too bluesy. I liked the more agressive versions of it.

If it was true that Maiden share solos, Dave would've given Janick that solo years ago.

@Collin and others interested, here is the re-upload of the mp3's of the Wacken show.

Oh, if there's any issue to be had with the stream, it isn't the backing tracks during Powerslave. It's that Dave's guitar sounded a bit too low in the mix. It's not the end of the world and there will most likely be an official live release for this tour which will be mixed really good.
TRAVIS this is really good of you.
the illuminati have made this possible you know this?
