The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

The multiple different legs of the Maiden England tour with the same set list, aside from the 3rd leg, has me thinking that very little to none of the set will change next year. Especially if they are hitting cities/markets that may not have seen this show.

It's also why we probably won't see a tour DVD until the end of next year or 2018. No sense in releasing a tour DVD of the show you're still touring for.

I agree with others that TBOS songs probably won't be changed, but I could see some of the classics shuffled round particularly if there's a break between this leg and the next.

The setlist will be the same except they will replace your favorite song with Wrathchild.

The Classic Wrathchild Tour

Wrathchild
Wrathchild extended
Wrathchild without the screaming
Wrathchild with Harry's vocals
Wrathchild with Gers on the backing vocals
Wrathchild commented by Harry
Wrathchild: a re-release by Dave Murray
Wrathchild with DiAnno on Skype
Wrathchild with Bruce on the drums
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden

My guess is we will get the same setlist and they'll film the London shows for a future blu-ray.

It's very, very rare that Iron Maiden has a half year gap in a tour and comes back to play the same songs.
That is a really good point actually. Last time that happened was between 2012-2013 and that was because the 2012 tour was USA only. As I said before, they will probably change 3-4 classics for next year (COTD, Powerslave, BB, WY).

I'm pretty sure all the new songs will stay, but honestly I would be ok without ToaC. Tracks most likely to change are CotD, Powerslave (unfortunately), BB and WY, but I don't think all of them will go. It would be nice if they were replaced by equally rare songs, but we know how it usually is... I'm rooting for WY to stay, because it's such a nice closer. I'm sick of Running Free.

Great set list. I think Fear of the Dark is so overplayed, though. Replace that with Wrathchild and you got a winner.........

As if Janick's volume in The Trooper solo is turned up as of late. Here the last three gigs.

1) I like this particular Trooper solo by Janick in Wroclaw! Especially that first half. Such cool choices and sound. Dave is excellent as well. Overall pretty good lead guitar sound for an amateur recording.

2) The one in Prague is pretty nice as well.

3) And check these solos, from Zilina, with perhaps the most awesome Dave rendition of the tour (or ever?)! Lovely high choices in second quarter!
:eek::notworthy:

True. But I have a feeling it might happen this time, just like 2012 and 2013. They'll hit markets they didn't cover this year. Including UK arena tour. And it wouldn't be fair for them to not get the 2016 setlist.

If they change anything. I hope they'll keep COTD. I also want some AMOLAD songs. Maybe TROBB. Brave New World would also be great to hear live.

Personally, I would like the UK/US tour to end by March at the very latest...giving the guys enough time to fly to Sydney for an end of world tour concert, break over the Northern summer and write/record/release a new album by early 2018.

TROBB, or another song written by Dave, would be a welcome addition to the setlist.

The scenario I hope for: March-July the US/UK/Europe tour in that order. September they enter studio (like they did for TBOS). New album is released at the end of February 2018.

I'd be kind of surprised to see them not tour the US over the Summer - they typically do shed tours for longer tours. If they are looking at doing the US earlier then it would have to be arenas. Either way, I'm just hoping I can get to a couple more shows even if they are exactly the same as this has been the best new album tour since probably BNW for me (AMOLAD ruled set list wise but the crowds sucked).

I would gladly see this setlist again. I almost don't hope they change it up because knowing them they probably aren't going to improve it much.

So, they released the model Ed Force one planes today in the Maiden webstore. Seeing as I actually saw the plane in Vegas I had to have one!

I don't see them entering the studio right after a quite extensive tour, with just a month off. Plus apparently reliable sources say that Harry is going to record a new album with BL. It is not specified wether it will be before or after the next Maiden record, but my guess goes to the former (but it could also be between Maiden's tours).
