The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

I was completely broke when there was time to buy tickets and plan the whole thing... At least right now I'm too busy to think about this much... :P
 
The one most worthwhile gig in the last two years? 24 months of time and possibilities to put it aside. How much is that per month? Between 2,50 and 3,75 euro?

Sure, but some problems took me by surprise, dude. Had to spend my savings on something else. Not my choice.

That's very simplistic thinking. First of all, gigs were not announced 24 months ago. Second, even of they were, 3 euro per month would only be enough to buy the ticket. And buying a ticket for the concert is the easiest thing in the whole sting on actions you need to take in order to attend a gig. And yes, I speak from experience: having the ticket gets you nowhere. And that's why I think that all of us who failed to see Maiden this summer (for whatever reason) already feel bad enough about it and don't need to take accusations of poor planning on top of that.
 
Hmm. I give you that I doubted if I should respond, because this might generate more anger. At the same time, I want to clarify something, since I look like the accused here.

Ariana, you are well aware that I know that your situation was not (just) financial.
Srogyy lives close to the venue. He only misses a ticket. That's it. I was strictly speaking to him (and about him and no one else).

Dunno about others, but if you said it to me, you'd be right: I'm terrible at saving money and I can only blame myself if I don't go to a show this year :facepalm:
 
I apologize for having hurt you, Sroggy, Ariana, or/and anyone else. I guess I was very surprised, have trouble with imagining such a situation; wanted to show some empathy ("how is this possible"?) but probably used the wrong words.

Everything 's cool, I took no offence. (But indeed, the tone of your first response was a bit ambiguous ;))
 
I think I am not very good at hearing someone having a problem, while they do not explain well what happened. (That's a weak point of mine; I need more information/arguments/context because I want to have more understanding.)
 
Hopefully yes. Would be great if more people get the chance to see them on a TBOS tour, if that's what it still is.
 
I don't really care what the setlist will be, or whether it'll be a part of The Book Of Souls tour, I just wanna see them somewhere with a bloody roof.
