They dropped The Trooper in Belfast in 2011 and didn't replace it.

Different scenario, they dropped it because some fans boo the waving of the flag during Trooper and Bruce made a comment along the lines of 'we wont play what we usually play cos of how some people react.' He didnt seem impressed. so it wasnt replaced to make a statement and basically punish the boo boys.

Cant go punishing Chinese fans because of their government!

I agree. However, my point is that Maiden have dropped songs before without bothering to replace them. We'll see what they decide on.

Objectively, this is a convenient fit indeed. However, I feel that much less "happens" during this song.

Come to think of it, they're probably still on stage, anyway, Setlist.fm must have been a pre-show guess. Their official FB page only posted an hour ago

Yep, Powerslave is still there. At least for this show. Strange because there were countless conversations here basically confirming the Wicker Man for months lol.
