The Marvel Thread (Spoilers, and language!)

I didn't really mind his first suit, but this is definitely better. It's close enough to his normal suit to keep the real purists happy, but keeps the best aspects of his stealthier suit which so far is my favourite. The little Avengers A's on the shoulder pads are nice lil touch.

It mentions a main plot point of TWS, although one I think most people know anyway but prob better not to read just in case.

Other than that, very loose plot outline for the next 2 episodes, and basically tomorrows episode will be shown tomorrow @ normal time, and next week at same time followed by next weeks episode straight after. Speculation on forums is that they are trying out a new time slot to see if they get better ratings.

Means the ep won't be up till later on though so I likely won't see it till wednesday ;'(

Just came back from seeing Winter Soldier. That movie was fucking amazing! I loved every minute of it! Things in Agents are going to be very interesting and it makes sense now why they're saying things are going to be changing in the show.

Gaaah! Oh my god, this fucking show! (In this case, 'fuck' is both used to show anger and excitement. :p)

So much going on this episode and it definitely helped a lot if you saw Cap 2 before hand. It will make things less confusing. Just going to simplify everything in a few quick spoilers. These are pretty big so I'd advise not to view if you haven't seen the episode yet unless you REALLY want to.
-Hail Hydra! If you haven't seen Cap 2, basically since S.H.I.E.L.D. was founded after World War II, Hydra has secretly operated within its ranks, sowing global chaos in the hope humanity would willingly surrender its freedom in exchange for security and there are people within S.H.I.E.L.D who are loyal to Hydra.

-Garrett was The Clairvoyant this whole time and is loyal to Hydra! (Never trust Bill Paxton...EVER!)

-And the biggest twist....Ward. He's been working for Garrett this whole time! But I really think something is up with him. He doesn't seem to be himself so I'm wondering if he is under some sort of mind control?
This show just keeps getting better and better. I love it!

I just... what the... !?!?!?! Heavy spoilers, I wouldn't recommend reading until you've seen it at least twice!

The whole "who can you trust" thing is just taken to the extreme. No one trusts anyone and those who they do trust turn out to be the wrong ones. Ward being the most extreme, suspect > ally > enemy!

- The entire team was meant to be Coulsons, but was secretly setup by May to KILL Coulson!?
- Skye & Ward, well I didn't really want it to happen and it looked like it was heading that way... until the last 2 minutes. Now Ward is just confusing! Although Skye's face at the end when looking at the SHIELD badge was a bit suspicious. He clearly can't care that much for her though if he went along with the plan of her getting shot.
- Clairvoyant, Centipede etc is all part of HYDRA... or is it just Garrett's own personal backup plan. I wasn't sure Garrett was quite the Clairvoyant, possibly just working for him, but it probably is him. Shame cos Garrett was awesome! So does this mean that the Centipede storyline is now at an end, or just different direction. Why does Garrett want to know how Coulson came back?
- Thought Trip was bad for a second there, he was very convincing when he was with Simmons.
- Simmons "I'm getting good at lying" was kinda sinister... but I guess May's reveal explains what she meant.
- Fitz and Simmons concern for each other was quite sweet.
- SHIELD isn't quite destroyed, but underground. We've also learnt the names of several other SHIELD facilities.
- Hand is dead, and I was so pleased when she said she was HYDRA, then it turned out to be fake. Warmed to her a little over the rest of the episode though.
- Graviton mentioned a few times, I suspect he shall be released soon by Garrett/Ward.

Several mentions of Cap2 events, very glad that I saw it before hand. Over all though the episode was setup pretty well there, there was enough plot information included that you can watch it without the film and it still makes sense, but the film really just fleshes out the plot so much more.

I've seen the odd picture from upcoming episodes, which now make a little more sense after the events in this one.

One other thing, they mentioned Cap had taken out the hellicarriers etc, but they didn't mention Fury's death was fake. So I wonder do they know, because if they don't... then that means Coulson is the highest ranking member of shield that is known to still be alive.

Best episode so far, just absolute chaos.

EDIT:
At the end, it almost looks like Coulson is giving a nod to Ward in permission, and Garrett's smile after he shoots Hand looks like he wasn't quite sure on Ward's allegiance until that moment, so even if Ward has switched I don't know if he was always HYDRA.

If that's the case, Ward must've used an ICER on Agent Hand instead. Perhaps Coulson sent Ward in to get closer to Garrett and see if he could get any more information out of him, Hand trying to goad him into shooting him was a bit weird in general.

But Ward is also carrying the backup from the planes hard drive, I don't think they would've made a point of specifying this if it wasn't important - Ward getting all their information.

Gah, I can't decide. I *think* he's bad... in which case Skye is going to really suffer from betrayal and trust, but there's still a possibility it's not the case. So much going on, it's almost too much!

More cowbell.
