[Murder of Rue Morgue]

In Martin Popoff's Hallowed Be Thy Name there is a passage where Janick speaks about The Legacy and mentions "a man of peace" having the whole politics of Middle East in his hands and creating all the problems of that area geopolitically, and that he was ill.

I don't remember if he addressed Middle East back in the IMFC Mag interview of 2006, but my bet for the mysterious subject of the song is now Arafat rather than Bush or Blair.

2026 rating - 9/10

One of the most unique songs in the discography. It's haunting, powerful, catchy and so very odd. Honestly, the only thing keeping it from a 10/10 is the really poor vocal mixing.

I think this is a perfect example of why Steve shouldn’t arrange songs. All the ideas are top-notch, but the repetition and the structure...... not so much.
