Yeah, but I think (after Bruce announced his solo album and shows) that maybe their original plan is this tour to have 3 legs - and after it they will release the new album (like the Legacy cycle). Their plan was also probably not to play any Euro shows in 2024 (but rather in 2025; tight schedule). I know they prefer to play live, but the purpose of this hybrid tour should have been to catch up with the years. Now, a new album sooner is not that certain, another Hits tour (50th anniv?) is not certain... and what would they do next? In 2025/2026. Bruce said they have plans until then. A normal album tour cycle is fitting. It seems the Hits tours will always be 3 years, unfortunately. With each day passing, the chances are getting slimmer that Maiden will play in Europe next year. But it would be quite weird to play Alexander and not play it in Greece + other countries that they didn't visit this year.
Maybe they will wait for Bruce's Euro shows to sell better and then announce, although the gap between Bruce's last show and Maiden's first in 2024 is very small.
I think they will return to Europe in 2025 with Future Past tour, but with 1 new song from hopefully new album (that they hopefully Will record in early 2025). So it would be indeed Future (new song) Past (SiT and Senjutsu - which would be 4 years old by that point) tour
I agree. Maybe they want to change the setlist quite a bit for the 3rd leg and play more of the SJ songs, but again, that's not very likely. They can make it worthwhile with some changes, but it's not like they don't have ideas for a next album. Idk, maybe Nicko changed their plans, but either way, old songs/new songs, they will play live (to tours, to make money) and have plans until 2026. As they have always said, they are not a cabaret act. If not new album tour, the next logical tour should be a Deep cuts tour imo. The best would be a new album (with some deep cuts in the set again). As much I think this tour has been a gift for Maiden fans, I really do not want it to extend past 2024.
If they do a very short European run next year, that's very likely, but we can't know for sure. The tour next year might be extended until December (Brazil shows). August is the only free month, but Bruce will need a break. Recording a new album in early 2025, releasing it in late 2025, with a tour starting in 2026 is the most likely scenario - if they don't have other plans.I think Iron Maiden has only done 2 tours that were 3 years (Maiden England 2012-2014 and Legacy Of The Beast 2018-2019, 2022). I think The Future Past won't extend to 2025 and they will have something else planned.

Don't you think I'm a saviorYeah yeah, we all know that the best song on 'Powerslave' is "The Angel And The Gambler"...
No. And even if they never tour again or release another album, the money will continue to pour in via merchandise sales until eternity fails. I'm hoping most of all for another album and new music tour. But if we never get anything new from Maiden again, that's not a tragedy. They've given more than we could have reasonably hoped for, and there's a huge catalogue of material to enjoy for the rest of our lives. Then again, do they really need anymore money?
It’s not just about personal wealth. The maiden machine has a lot of employees so yes, to keep a lot of people in jobs the band does need to maximise revenue. Then again, do they really need anymore money?
Not that I disagree, but a 3rd leg with less SJ doesn't sound plausible, imo at least. Despite the fact that the tour is called Future Past. Changes of the old classic songs, yes.Come on mate, the Greeks deserve to have a show featuring Alexander the Great after all those years being teased by Bruce!
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a 3rd leg of the tour in 2025, playing European festivals and their own big shows with a slightly modified setlist (i.e., less Senjutsu, more classics).

I would argue no, but someone is pushing for profits if the merchandisingpalooza over the last few years is anything to go by.Then again, do they really need anymore money?
Again that Dave rumour. So, with this rumours about Dave wanted to call it quits and nicko playing more and more slower do you think there's going to be another tour??? I dont think so, i think there's going to be more music and another tour and that's gonna be all. I enjoyed more the last year legacy's show than the one in 2019, but i do looked at Dave not so happy and nicko was slower in some songs, he's 70 so you know. I hope to see them 5 more shows at least. Im 28 so im grateful to meet them at my 14 and to see them 8 times at this moment.
This is a very reasonable answer, so thank you.Again that Dave rumour.
Tell you what, Dave looked happier than ever in 2023 and played better than during LOTB. So, I'd say that one is false.
Regarding Nicko, yeah, slowing down is a part of ageing, but with choosing the songs carefully, I can see them doing another 5 years. This might mean losing your TETMDs, TNOTBs, RTTHs... But it would enable Maiden to perform with Nicko for longer. I would take that option in a heartbeat. For example, Stranger and Alexander are perfect songs for "senior" Maiden. Not too fast and groovy. They don't lose anything if they are played a tad slower.
There is a reason why they picked Prisoner and CIPWM as additional songs this year. Because they are not too hard on the drummer.
I think Dave rumour might have been true, but not recently as it seems excitement of playing rarely played or non-played songs has brought back excitement to the band.I actually believe the Dave rumour to be true, and I even believe there is one more member who has considered retiring in recent years.
Hope that member is SmallwoodI actually believe the Dave rumour to be true, and I even believe there is one more member who has considered retiring in recent years.
Didn't he retire recently? Or semi-retire. Or something.Hope that member is Smallwood
I forgot something. I've just remember and old interview in the Death on the road dvd, where I think it was janick who said that being on stage means that you have to had your mind into not loose the rythm or the song at the same thing you're showing/acting to the people that you're having a great time. So the only thing that doesn't click to me is Dave smiling more, even it could be a response to shoot these rumours down and all the negative consequences that it maybe carry.I think Dave rumour might have been true, but not recently as it seems excitement of playing rarely played or non-played songs has brought back excitement to the band.
The never-ending LOTB tour was a drag for sure.
The other member has to be Nicko, simply because of the health concerns. I don't see any of the others slowing down. H seems to enjoy his yearly cycle and travelling with Nathalie very much, Bruce is as busy as ever, Steve is a workoholic and Janick loves travelling.
Not Nicko or Dave?Didn't he retire recently? Or semi-retire. Or something.
But no. It's one of the band members.
True. Both Andy Taylor and Rod gave Dave Shack most of the control over IM LTD.Didn't he retire recently? Or semi-retire. Or something.
I won't say on this site, but I believe there could be truth to it. Dave is obviously one.Not Nicko or Dave?
So your two cents are on..?
