The Future Past Tour 2024

Tonight's show is going to be very special. They should release it.
It would be the correct marketing move to close an era and introduce something new. The band's official photographer John McMurtrie is with them in Brazil. I hope they release a live album from Sao Paulo shows.

Gotta admit guys, was upset reading about this. I just CANNOT visualize maiden with another drummer. Not only drummer but not with any other band member. For me if 1 guy is out, the band is pretty much out.

As for the new drummer, I feel Steve’s gonna bring in his drummer from British Lion. Maybe that’s why he’s been touring with them too of late.

I just read the announcement. Even though I had a hunch this may be coming it's hitting me pretty hard. This has been my band for 43 years. I am really going to miss seeing Nicko behind the tubs. I'm guessing, hoping he will make some appearances at the UK dates next year. I'm sure whoever the new drummer is will do a fine job

Or a show in USA since he lives in Florida iirc.

Tonight marks the end of the Future Past tour, and with it, we bid farewell to the greatest lineup in metal history. Steve Harris, Nicko McBrain, Bruce Dickinson, Adrian Smith, and Dave Murray defined heavy metal in the 1980s, and with Janick Gers, the 1999–2024 lineup propelled the band to the pinnacle of the music world. This era not only delivered incredible new music but also redefined live performances in metal, heavy metal, and rock and took it to the largest stages around the world. I feel truly privileged to have witnessed and been part of this journey as a fan.

Well you can’t knock them for this tour. They said they would but out ATG one day and they did. They tossed in CSIT and SIASL for good measure as well. I remember being a little teary during Doctor Doctor at the O2 thinking this might be the last time I see them. I am glad they are touring again, albeit down one man.

Thanks boys. And a big thank you to Nicko.

What a final performance from the best band/lineup in history! Just wow. Faster methinks and they sounded younger. The band was extra this night. Nicko is still great. Watching the videos and especially after the end of the concert, I'm in tears. They are a family. I wish Nicko had said something. Can't thank you enough Nicko, it will never be the same, I just love this band. Truly unique. We all should be grateful. <3

On Nicko's last tour he played songs from:

Iron Maiden
The Number Of The Beast
Piece Of Mind
Somewhere In Time
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
Fear Of The Dark
Senjutsu

Missed albums: Killers, Powerslave(!), No Prayer, The X Factor, Virtual XI, Brave New World(!), Dance Of Death, A Matter Of Life And Death, The Final Frontier and The Book Of Souls. He covered half of them during the previous tour.
