The Future Past Tour 2024

I got the impression Adrian kept a low profile outside of actual stage and official publicity but I could imagine him being down to earth. He comes across as that in interviews.

Janick for the win if you want a chinwag, though. He's known for being an active part of pub scene locally.
Well I met H this year in Ljubljana before the gig. He was INCREDIBLY nervous... Later, when the set was revealed, it made sense why.

Even then I didn't think of my encounter with Bruce as anything "bad" and still don't. In truth he's always been one of my favorite vocalists and I am amazed at the life he's had with all he's done.

The one and only time in my life I have waited for the band outside a venue, Adrian was by far the nicest.

It was back in 2000, before the gig in Madrid in July (you can imagine how hot it was). My better half and I arrived at the venue quite early, so we went for a walk and saw 5 other people waiting outside one of the entrances at the back. We joined them and 30 minutes later two Mercedes Benz vans arrived carrying the band members. I was quite excited, as I had read lots of stories online about how nice band members were to fans. To our surprise, they all went inside the venue without even acknowledging our presence (we were less than 10 metres away, waiting politely) with the exception of Adrian, who turned around and waved at us. That day I realised there is no point in wasting my time to meet the band. If I bump into them, fine; if not, I have more important things to do in my life.

I have never met any of the band members and I don't have active urge for it either. Granted, it would be cool to bump into e.g Adrian or Janick somewhere out there! :)

Speaking of fans bumping into Janick, I have to share this picture here as well... it has already been publicly out there for a while on the social media pages of a Finnish Iron Maiden podcast called "Viikonloppusoturit" (=Weekend_Warriors), so uhm... I believe the fan in the picture doesn't mind... ;)

Never met any of the band, and don't have any inclination to.

Turned down the opportunity to annoy them on a couple of occassions. In 2005 Dave and Janick were in Bruxelles pub in Dublin after the gig in the RDS, as was I. I left them be, but a mate had a chat outside with Dave Murray while they both were having a smoke. Also, saw Janick a couple of times in Dusseldorf on the afternoon of the gig as we both were wandering around doing tourist stuff.

Have met both Adrian and Janick before a number of years ago.
Adrian was chatting to my friend for a while and I was having a good chat with Janick.
Janick is really friendly and down to earth as you would imagine him to be.
A friend of mine met Steve in the early 90s and he said he was quiet but was happy to talk to him.

I suppose its like any human you catch them on a bad day or moment they might be a bit arsey and that might change your opinion on them forever. I 'met' Bruce at a signing a few years ago. My brother put out his hand to shake it but Bruce ignored him. Tbf he was ignoring everyone and just wanting to get the books signed and go home i guess.

Bruce announced a solo date in Germany in early July. Assuming his European tour will start in June, this could be one of the last shows.

So the Maiden tour can start late July.
