This is true, but there are many who'll listen to what the radio, MTV or what have you will tell them to listen to. Very, VERY seldom these days are those bands worth their weight in crap.

Actually, I'd say the MTV/radio friendly bands are usually worth their weight in crap.

No , it didn't. It debuted to the n.2 position in Australia.

Maiden got a little coverage on the BBC website after charting at #1:

Links to the BBC's own page on the band below - it mentions that the band has sold millions of albums without any real radio or tv support.  Nice to see the BBC acknowledging its own shortcomings, heh heh heh...
